Any word on if or when the Victor will be getting a look over again?

Its probably the most limited layout I have used on any mech. Combined with limited IS options this mech really could use a update.

Pretty much all I can get to work is start 1 big engine, M. Guns, SRM6's and either LPulse or L Lasers. Anything else feels like I am giving up way to much and feel like most mediums would be a better option.

I would suspect that there will end up being some rebalancing in general happening once the new skill tree and weapons go in.

No... Russ got killed by a Victor the one time he played years ago & has hated the Victor ever since.

The Victor is actually not that bad right now, granted it's underwhelming compared to certain top end assaults and heavies but what isn't? The Victor is perfectly average in terms of performance, not awful but most definitely not top tier.

There would be easy ways to improve victor like unlocking number of tubes of those missile hardpoints or if not unlocking totally then upping them to 6 at least to make it bit better brawler.

Vic and QKD are on tap next month to get some sort of fix on their tube count display. Will that be a graphics fix? Will that actually be a fix of their tube counts resulting in the elimination of the stupid stagger-fire that they suffer from? No idea, but they are getting some sort of fix in this regard, next month, according to the road map.

As far as any sign that Victors are going to be reassessed or otherwise addressed in some novel fashion? No, there is no indication here or twitter that PGI has any intention of changing the mech anymore than any other mech via the published skills tree nerfs, etc. and the potential that new tech represents for everyone.

Some players have suggested however that based on the skills tree announcements that PGI, in a fit of unprecedented dedication to balance and munificence, will be diligently monitoring mech performance after the skills tree drops, and on a regular basis blessing all less than ideal mechs (such as the Victor) with a bounty of corrective quirks and bonuses to ensure that players have a reason to try the mech and that the amazing diversity of mechs on the field will be improved. I also have several of these players on a list of potential clients to whom I plan on selling a stake of the "Brooklyn Bridge Procurement Corporation LLC". Let me know if you want in on this amazing deal.

Missile slot inflation, or bust.

Victor is getting a missile update next month, so let's pray to the Mech Gawdz, that it's getting a lot more tubes.

Victors tube numbers are supposed to be getting looked at, I doubt you'll see any extra hard points added, if that's what your hoping for.

I'm sure it will stay quirked even with the new skill tree, to make it usable.

Using it's ballistic hard points for MG's is a waste though.

Yeah the 10/5/2 missile slots really limits things. Of course the general lack of weapon slots and all of them waist high for most part, quite a limiter on the mech. Have done the Gargoyle back in the day so used to limited fast assault so not end of the world to me but just seems like this mech could be much more as a fast assault.

Well sounds like there is some hope and after last night 9 straight wins with a 9S(C) I guess I will trust in hope. If not Hmm maybe this bridge thing.... LOL

And yes seems like a total waste on Machine guns but with the Brawler style of play once people go internal those machine guns pay off big time. Let them loos and just watch enemies Light up as ammo cooks off and other components go boom. After seeing how nasty they can be on lights trust me M.Guns are not a waste.

I would like to invest in shares of the company... that company clearly has fast growth potential, I would also suggest targeting the people who "think" the Skill Maze is going to be amazing for the game & is not going to make the already broken IS-Clan Imbalance worse.

Nope, Nope, Nope. If you had bothered to read how badly PGI is fuc king over the IS mechs then you would know that the Victor is getting nothing but Nerfs & a mobility worse than a Zeus

Best thing that's going to happen to Victors is the jump jet skill tree and the LFE. I'm going to max the jet tree out in the PTS this weekend just to see what happens.

Only recently did I see people in game have anything positive to say about a Victor.
Came across one with AC20 and SRMs on an opposing team, others said, "watch out for that Victor," or, "Target the Victor."
That Victor did a fair job of putting some hurt on and that was on Polar Highlands.
LFE should help but Assaults in general prove that an overhaul of Jump Jets is needed, they should not have to rely more on the Skill Tree than other classes.

what pains me most about the victor is not the jumping, not the tubes, not the torso twist, for the most part not the hardpoint count.

but the turn rate. it turns 360 like my house turns 360 degrees...

they need to quirk this IMO.

after that - when they introduce new weapons it might reinvigorate some mechs that have been neglected
