The Uziel really wasn't that great in MW4 either so they are looking at something with rose-tinted glasses.

Like I said though, I think it looks cool and will try and play it despite all it has going against it.

I'm lucky since this is my first MW game and this is my gateway into the BTverse.

I won't have a rose coloured picture of what i should be expecting. I just have wide eyed child-like wonder for these oldies. But boy do i love the look of the Uziel. I love me some rolly polly mechs.

I really only want one Uziel (5P) but I guess if I'm impatient enough I can just buy all of them.

For no reason, I'm digging the Cougar, I may entertain getting that tonight, in all its slow clammy goodness.

LOVE! THEM!

I guess the Uziel and Mad Cat will have similar peeking profiles to the Ebon Jaguar, which is cool in my book. I'm a little concearned about the cockpit hitbox on the Annihilator, but having the cockpit at the very top of your Mech sure has its benefits. It'll act as a neat little periscope to peek over hills. Just gotta be carful to not get gaussed through the pilot seat.

I really don't like those odd chevroned hip guards, and the weapon pods on the arms feel too dinky for me. I like the basic torso and leg design, and even down to the elbows, but those details throw me of just enough. (same way the stupid ultra wide motorcycle helmet ruined the Pixie for me, whereas a narrower version would have looked AMAZING)

Subjective. Like all things. To me they just don't fit the lines of the mech at all. They seem stiff and abrupt on a mech that looks like it should be organic and fluid, to my mind. *shrugs*

The Uziel is a mech i can love for it's aesthetics. Heck i'm gonna try and make the PPC one you see in the MW 4...revenge(?) opening.

Pity one can't mount Artemis in an adjoining torso.... aSRM6 and 2x SN-PPC might be fun. Bust std SRM6 probably too much spread.

ASRM/4 might be a viable alternative....

Looks like you can cram:

Endo
LFF
LFE (250)
SN-PPC X2
ASM/4 with 2t ammo
3 aditonal DHS
5 JJ's

with 2 crits left over

eh, single aSRM4 or std SRM6 just not worth the tonnage, even on a 50tonner, in MWO, IMO.

Maybe an MRM10 depending on how they work out? But I have a feeling not.

That said, I am liking the overall style. I wanna see this in a relaxed pose instead of the T-pose though since part of the intimidating look of the TRO version compared to the MW4 version was due to that squatter pose.

As much as people thought it would have high mounts though, it does look like it will have to pretty much all of the torso to clear any terrain, especially if the PPCs are mounted where the lasers currently are.

Only really applies if the ears stay on when you put Missiles on it or not... if they are permanent then yes, but otherwise it is exactly the meta mech that everyone said it would be while the annie is doa

If the player chooses not to run missiles the missile boxes will Disappear.

I hope LRMs will be viable in the future for fitting some into the Mad Cat Mk2. If not maybe ATMs will work out.

Kind of upset by the length of the MK.II's barrel ls there on the Gauss Rifles and LBX. The Super Nova and Marauders guns are way inset the MkII should be no different imo.

Exactly... Meta Mech confirmed. Do not worry, I had absolute faith in you at PGI to make MORE brokenly OP Clam mechs & IS mechs that has terrible weapon placement and geometry. That way I am never let down

I don't think that the Anni is doa. It actually looks better than the concept art. Torso mounts are fairly high and if the arms stay as they are in that ca. 30 degree angle they are okay as well. Plus the front profile looks much slimmer than that of a Mauler or KDK, which is good for dakka since that requires a lot of facetime.
I gotta admit, first I wasn't interested in the Annihilator at all, but now...

Hey FupDup!

Thanks for the comment, really appreciate your input. All weapons are going to be the same size in there respective weight classes for all mechs.

I will see if we can flip those gauss guns around to fit closer to the concept (no promises here). but we cannot make the weapons themselves bigger, the only thing we can do to make it appear bigger is making bigger weapon holders.

Cheers!

Arman

Great to see a dev responding to this thread!
Could you look into making the Gauss barrels shorter as well? The arms are so large that it makes sense for the Gauss rifles to be more embedded within them, and it would be more true to Alex's concept art and the original design of the mech.

No it's not because it has to expose all of its torso, the Kodiak and Mauler may end up exposing less than this will. It will expose less than a MAD-IIC, but it will lack the narrower torso that the MAD-IIC benefits from (meaning it will be easier to isolate a torso). Will it be meta? Definitely. Will it be the new god assault like the KDK-3 was when it came out? Probably not.

Being slimmer and having "high" mounts don't help when it has a giant giveaway that it is about to poke (and being the cockpit, will also draw fire).
