I am running a RX460 2gb , 8gb Ram , AMD 860K. Not Overclocked and on medium settings and get +/- 30FPS. Is this normal, what do others get and any advice on getting a better FPS without going to Low.?.

Thanks

I have to use medium-low graphics settings just to stop my FPS taking a massive long dump in the middle of brawls.

I can get a solid 40+ FPS out of GTA V though. So that's nice.

I fluctuate between 31 to 48 FPS ingame usually

Everything set to low or turned off, except medium textures, 720p

Using Lenovo Z510 notebook
i5-4200M 2.5GHz
12GB 1600 DDR3
Nvidia GT740m (+100MHz Core and +270MHz Memory overclock via MSI Afterburner, extra heat handled by the fact keyboard stopped working ages ago and with it removed, the heatsinks have much more room to breath and is only reason why i started overclocking it)

Between 50-80
Playing on a new (December) Dell Inspiron laptop.
Mix of medium and high settings.

Game's never looked or played better. I still suck. And rural internet and the random disconnects that it gives me also suck.

Looking at your CPU thats gonna be your main issue.
The MWO Cryengine version really Likes Intel i5/i7s at over 4ghz clock, with strong singlecore performace.
Your Cpu has good Value for its Prize but its performanceis subpar even compared to 3 generation old I5/I7 Series..
if you can overclocking to the maximum stable should net you a decent performance boost.

http://gpuboss.com/g...GeForce-GTX-660

In addition your Graphics card performs on the Level of a GTX 660 (if we are generous) that is a card with 4 successor Generations available.

In short, your rig is Old and not well suited for the Game. Overclocking everything you can or Replacing CPU first and later the graphics card. or both at once is your only option

Best regards

With my GTX1080 I get around 120fps with max everything except effects, which are set to medium because those cut into the framerate pretty badly and they really screw with visibility if you put them on high or very high.
My monitor can do 165 at 1440p and I do reach that with a lot of other games, MWO just gets low framerates in general.

I get between 80 and 120 fps at 1900x1200 on a 144mhz monitor. I'm running an i7 4770K O/Ced to 4.2 ghz, a 760gtx and 32 gb of ram. Most settings are on medium, one or two are high, and a couple others are low, and V-sync and AA are off.

If you are getting poor fps, I suggest turning all settings to low and do a drop. Check your fps and then move one setting at a time to medium. And turn off cockpit glass and damage glow. Personally, I have damage glow on, but that's because my system can handle it. There are some settings that the difference between low and high are negligible but the performance hit is significant. I can run everything on higher settings if I wanted to, but I decided to turn some settings down to give me a much faster frame rate, which really makes a difference in playability.

Also, my fps will very, very infrequently dip to 60 fps, but that's only when there is A LOT happening on screen.

Good luck and hope to see you on the battlefield.

I tend to get around 90FPS fairly stable, some maps drop to about 60 (sometimes brawls with tons of missiles can cause frame drops as well)

i7-6700 4GHz
16GB DDR4
1070 GTX
512 NVMe M2 SSD

I76400k 1060vcard
20 to 100 on high settings.

50-100 with medium Posted Image.

The crazy drops are always when a brawl happens and you need your fps the most. Even with a good setup I run medium.

I have a 1920×1080 144hz monitor, rest of the specs in my signature. I run textures, environment and object detail at very high, everything else low (for visability). My frames are 100-140 in quickplay, and 65-140 in faction play (the fps will drop as the game goes along in faction to a brief drops to 65, usually sits 70-80s at low points in faction play. Private match 4vs4 on tester maps gives me 350+ fps, faction scouting gives me 180+ fps

This is pretty close to what I'm running, just swap in some larger SSDs and 2x HD 7970 in Crossfire (GTX 680 wasn't out yet).

I'm getting ~60 FPS at 2560x1440, all settings running maxed out under DX11. It does frequently dip below that, though, especially on Crimson Strait and River City.

Control Panel, power options, set to High Performance.

Can of compressed air and make sure all heatsinks are cleared of dust buildup.

I just bought a new box:

i7-7700k
GTX 1070
1440p/144hz

with mixed med/high settings...

It depends on the map. On Canyon I'm around 120 fps with drops down to the 90s in heavy action. On Frozen City it's more like 90-100, dropping into the 60s.

I'm running a potato and get between 15-25 fps though it dips to around 6 if in an intense firefight with water nearby (river city)

Somewhere in the lower 60's. Rarely do I drop below that. I'm in Texas a good bit away from the server.

60 due to vsync, but sometimes fps drops for no good reason. I've got a Ryzen 1800x and a gtx1070. I play at 4k resolution and max details. Like I do every other game...they just all look better and run more smoothly.

Honestly, I got the same fps on my phenom2 @4ghz with a gtx460. I just played at 1080p with particles/environment at low in those days. This game hates amd chips, and is still terribly optimized.
