"Well, as for the game at the moment, the SMALLEST is the Commando, but it's sluggish and poorly armored."

ok 1) no kidding the smallest mech is poorly armored

and 2) if you think its sluggish you haven't been watching the gameplay videos they've released. the commando's are very speedy in those

Oh, I know, but I'm talking my observations comparing it to its contemporaries. Jenner and Spider are way faster, all the other lights have better armor, and the Raven has the excuse of being the "stealthy" mech for its relative low speed. I'm not saying it's slow, I'm talking from a relative standpoint it's slower than the others in play or weaker armor. Jenner works better, Raven's more versatile, and the Spider's completely bananas (in a good fun way). That's all I was getting at, no insult intended. :)

I assume you are talking about mechs that everyone knows will be in the game. If that is the case, the smallest mechs they have announced that I can find are the Commando (25 tons), Spider (30 tons), and Raven (35 tons). I know people have talked about the Jenner (35 tons) but I cant seem to find the Battlemech post stating it is in the game. As for what else may be released later I am not sure.

edit: Im an *****...the Jenner is one of the founders mechs available...

from those videos the commando is MUCH more manueverable than a Jenner. both are shown in different places. i honestly think turning radius and things like that will be more helpful than just straight line speed. plus the commando is a smaller and shorter mech, seems like. so a smaller target

the jenner does have more armor and jump jets and more weapons though, that's true. but its 10 tons heavier so why wouldn't it

The Guardian (http://www.sarna.net...ian_(BattleMech)), and the Celerity (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Celerity)...

Although theyTECHNICALLY aren't cannon, the Guardian DID show up in an early "Battlecorps" story...
The Celerity was a prototype "Drone" mech by Comstar...

There is always something strange about Locoust pilots.

Especially when they trick out their rides and leave the cockpit hatch open to 'feel the breeze', right?

Smallest mech? Height or weight?

If you are talking height...

Urban Mech, stands just a hair over 10m tall.

Weight, well thats tricky.

The lightest class of mechs are 20tons.
WSP-1A
STG-3R
LCT-1V

Are just a few 20 ton lights.
