10 years have passed from 3052 to 3062-67, in that time fame we should have access to clan mechs in our drop because clans will have been beaten and enough time has passed to allow clan mechs to be possessed by the great houses!

Not necessary, but perhaps if they wanted to they should only allow 1 of the 4 mechs in your dropship to be clan tech, the rest must be IS tech..

If you are talking about from a lore standpoint then, yes, you are correct. From a game standpoint they seem determine to keep the Tech division so they are giving IS pretty much carbon copies of all the Clan Tech or at least a viable alternative to make IS more competitive.

faction warfare should be restructured so IS and clan mechs can be on the same team. That would help eliminate the imbalance problem.

second thing they have to do is get rid of large groups and units in faction play. we tried faction play for large groups and units, they ruined it, and it failed miserably. So its time to open faction play up for solo players and small groups instead.

If they allowed us to take one 'mech in our dropdeck from the opposing faction techbase I would sign a loyalist contract so fast. But until such a thing comes to pass, if ever, I am stuck being a merc that switches between sides depending on what toys he is in the mood to play with.

Knowing PGI, the FP Civil War event will be clan vs. IS in order to ensure that as few people participate in it as possible and that clan teams sit in the queue for days on end. They'll make up some lame excuse like, "we analysed the metrics from one game!(see Incursion event)" or "it's the Jade Falcon invasion!" and the event will be another fiasco. Man am I glad I held off on pre-ordering any Civil War packs.

No, because that would give PGI an excuse to never balance IS and Clan tech.

FP salvage that is permanently destroyed. That's how they should do it. Can't just buy it with c-bill or cash. Earn it through FP play.

Base how much your dropdeck is mixed based on lore, this will give each faction a more unique feel, despite the mixed ques.

Frr-combo with cgb, 2 clan, 2 is mechs in the frr/cgb dropdeck, since their 50/50

Steiner and kurita- 3 is mechs, 1 clan mech due to clan-wolf-in-exile and clan nova cat alliances.

Marik, davion, liao- no mixing, but slightly higher tonnage in dropdecks to compensate.

Same divisions clan side

Cgb-combo with frr and make is as that is lore. (Welcome to the is bears)

Add diamondshark as a clan that fights for clans but has 2 is/2 clan mechs to simulate their merchant and buy and sell EVERYTHING mentality. (To match frr/cgb ability)

Jade falcons and wolf- 1 is mech, 3 clan mechs to simulate the low resources after the war the 2 have with each other, and their is salvage being used more.

Add in 3 other invading clans from lore with all clan mechs but a higher dropdeck tonnage to match davion, liao, and mariks ability.

they should just allow you to take both IS and clan mechs for your dropdeck without any kindve limitations.

but for each IS mech you take you should get 5 tons of extra max tonnage for your dropdeck.

so if you take 4 IS mechs you get 20 extra dropdeck tonnage. if you take 2 IS mechs and 2 clan mechs you only get 10 extra dropdeck tonnage. And 4 clan mechs would give you no extra tonnage.

awarding extra tonnage for taking IS mechs would help balance out the mixed dropdecks.

It would be interesting to see mixtech in the game, but we may have to remove all weapon quirks first and rebuild that over.
