Why are there so many, people who are thinking that PGI dosn't listen anyway, still posting?
If you need to vent steam just to go shoot some mechs in the face...cockpit. Its a much better stress releave then all the salty posts here.

[Edit]
Since people seam to missunderstand...
I don't have a problem with reasonable complains what I think this forum is overrun with is people who go
"Everything bad/I will quit/bla bla bla" and they just wont stop.
Some topic you have to go 2-3pages deept to find the next usefull comment.

So if the people who just want to vent could either stop or just get their own subforum that would be greate.

Mainly, because Potato

Spoiler

Would have been over 1500, had the Hitboxes on HPG been sized properly, and not extend nearly a full Meter beyond their visual boundary

There's no way to report those walls without the Forums, or Email
Complaining in game doesn't help that (but won't make me stop!)

Because PGI surprises us with responses and occasional feed back with just enough frequency to make us have hope -however misplaced- that they just might give a damn about our complaints. Individual ego convinces each of us that our oh so clever and frequent ship toasting will make it so that our individual issue will be the one PGI listens to and addresses thIs year.

Or, maybe, I don't know...maybe posting on these forums is a form of group therapy wherein we are collectively trying to come to terms with an abusive relationship that is driven by nostalgia, fueled by mech porn, but wherein we can't leave because our fix can only be provided by this one dev with the license to sell it to us.

Some noob offered to instruct new players in a pug drop. Some other noob told him to shut up. Noob #1 then proceeded to #Ragequit.

I would presume the main reason for huge salty posts is the seeking of validation. Those people want others to post "yeah, you are right!". And a few probably want people to write "no, you are wrong" so that an altercation and argument can ensue. Some people like arguing.

Because I refuse to be a twit (aka user of Twitter), which apparently is the only avenue to actual communication with the powers that be.

And no, I'm not threatening to stop playing. I HAVE stopped playing.

I count 10 potatoes, half of which aren't even on his team. Big numbers or not, that's nothing to brag about. Tier system working as intended?

True, for him not really much to brag about. But have you ever taken the time to view his stats. Elite status as far as I'm concerned.

After 4+ years of playing MWO, with countless cycles of optimism and attempts at constructivity followed by disappointment before I finally gave up, you have to grant me at least a few months of "I told you so". Also, look at how far we have come. At first, the salting of the forums was uncoordinated, crude and awkward. Just unsophisticated hating. After many years, many disappointments and much potential thrown down the toilet, we have finally developed the salty posting to an artform.
