Past events, as in - the last 12 months of them have gone for 5 day minimum + all the extensions.

Wait and see, zero announcement and it's meant to start in less than 48hrs. So who knows really. It might be 3 day sprint, it might not.

EVLL - details, I even saw my mate Hellsdog with a FIST last night. I can't wait to drop with him for the lulz again.

I'm sure for Tukkayid some gloves will get a dusting off for the hell of it. Why not?

Stay IS with us dingo! Lets pull off a Tukkayid win for IS.

Between ZMOM, EK, EVIL, 54MR and a few other units I know that are gonna be IS - I cannot see logically why we cannot achieve it along with the other units floating around as there will definitely be a few merc units who will go for EZ mode for sure (IRAN etc). But I prefer a challenge.

Who the heck is Hellsdog??? We only have Gaydog on our unit =p

Yeah 3 days is a bit... FFS!!!!! Particularly with MRBC going on, most active units are balls deep, like BALLS deep in the turning point games of the season in many divisions. I'm literally struggling for time as it is.

I love being part of an organised unit (at least I picture our usual chaotic mess as being organized in my mind Posted Image ).

Dont take MRBC as being an excuse for anything, unless you are personally in the active league organisation team and something pops up on short notice. It is 5 maps plus prior warm-up and tactics discussion shortly before hand (The tactics for each map/opponent should be set long before the games) for 8 players with emergency subs. After the game one player uploads the videos and another submits the drop results.

You know who your opponents are and what maps will be played with what loadout and setup. You always have the possibility of organising the games earlier than Sunday, shortly before the deadline (our game has been set for today since about a week already, so well before Tuk was even announced). If you are too balls deep in the organisation, you might want to think about delegating part of the organisation to another player so spread the load more evenly. One person doesnt need to do the communication with the opponents, plan the tactics and backup plans as well as select mechs and loadouts for each player. That all can be split up to 3+ different members with interlocking roles.

Im looking forwards to this new version... but I seriously hope that the quick play maps are removed for this weekend, as that automatically gives the clanners an advantage due to their higher average speed. This affects nearly all modes, as they have less time between dying and entering the fight, but affects conquest the most obviously as the main team can move closer to the capping points to support the cappers and/or split up better because backup takes less time to reach one of the split teams.

EDIT: And more importantly, dont set it that clans are attacker and IS defenders like in the last Tuk events. Rushing Generators is much, much faster than defending against another team. Make it so that clans and IS attack and defend equally. The attacking team always has an overall advantage on the CW maps if Omega needs to be destroyed.

Spoiler

So... You...

2. Don't run scrims against other teams during the week?
3. Walk through the map to measure timing/distance from both spawns for your strat and their potential strats?

Because many teams do #2 / #3 - which is often 1-2 nights a week, plus night of the matches as well. So potentially 3 nights. And you never know the opposition load out, what a silly statement.

Just because you might not plan means, very little, if many others are (and I know plenty are, just look at the MRBC scrim channel on Discord, stuff noing on everywhere). It is a reason people won't be available, ignorant to think otherwise.

And QP maps won't be removed, another silly statement.

I've a question for you guys!

So i've never set my foot inside FW before because reasons.
So i might try do this challange as a pugger and yes i expect to get my *** wooped badly. But i might catch some reward and have a semi good time.

So my main question is, will i be in a bad time if i choose Ghostbear over say wolf?
I personally realy like Ghost bear as in it's lore + i've some goodies ingame related to Ghostbear.

And if possible i'd prefer go pledge loyalty right away instead of mercing.

So what do you guys say, will i if i go GB have a reasonable try to even be able to partake in some of the rewards?

I do have decent mastered mechs so that is not a problem.

I wish it was that easy for us. We fight all week to to see who is coming. Then to make sure we have the right mechs for the spot playing. Then we try to do some training ...

Even then we screwed up. Last match we screwed up twice with wrong mechs and got DQ basically dropped us from 3rd to 7th because of it.

There are only 2 differences
1. Who is your faction chat. That doesn't matter since most people use (all) Clan chat.
2. The contract reward for the mercs. Which is dumb in it's own right.

Many things have changed since Tuk 2 which was during FP 2.0
One of the things that changed with FP 4.1 is that factions are now meaningless.

Ignore what's in it. Nerf has explained it.

FP now is NOT what FP was 18 months ago, when FP was actually decent...

Russ Bullock‏ @russ_bullock May 2
Should be an announcement no later than tomorrow about the next event. Bigger than your average event.

*checks calendar*

Another failure to deliver.

Almost seems pathological.

Yea seems kinda weird that there's so little info about an event that is supposed to bit slightly bigger event.
Should've posted it like a week or so beforehand which gets more player ready and up to date so they maybe will also join in.

That would require actually, you know, communicating with your player base. Which is complete and utter insanity.

Keep in mind that currently, FW is the only way you can "earn" a free mech bay outside of some event's awards. This event is going to draw everyone, as it was designed to do. UNLESS you get into a group, you WILL be dropping amongst some serious potato skittling. Be prepared for that.

Me, I'm just going to out-potato the potatoes. Custom build, fully mastered and moduled potato boats are worth at least 3 ordinary potatoes.
