I call that mech what it is. That's it.

No, you really don't. You formed an opinion, which is fine, no one really cares if you like it or not. But just as nobody appreciated Impy going overboard in one direction, your need to shoutcast it everywhere you go, just because I guess it makes you feel good, is what tends to gets people less than receptive.

But you can be in denial of that if you like .

It's here. it should be pretty decent, not great, not bad. Deal with it.

Or jsut keep shaking your fist at the sky because you think it'll change reality, or make people start agreeing with you, or whyever the hell you feel the need to act like Rush Limbaugh/Michael Moore/Insert Overly Opinionated lacking in facts Pundit here; about it.

With how, well, lackluster the builds I am coming up with for the Javelin (guess it isn't a mech for me then), it makes me further pine for the Firefly (specifically the SLE, even though the IS getting a Star League in Exile variant is odd, it is all tech we would have). A nice nonhumanoid 30 ton mech would be nice addition to the IS line up, plus it would replace the Jenner for me (even at being 5 tons lighter) because better geo and non human legs so it it shorter (easier to hide).

Javelin hopefully will find it's niche, but, not meshing with my style.

Decent, maybe. Good? Far from it. It has way too many flaws.

keep telling yourself that.

Oh who am I kidding...of course you will. And everyone else. Even after it drops and we the rest of us are laughing at how stubbornly wrong you are.

Flaws = fun!
It has personality; not everything should be an Arctic Cheetah...

A few flaws are fine. Having so many that it restricts how the mech can be effective, however, ruins the fun.

I do hope there is a 6x missile Javelin variant so I can spam RLs on it, for a "one pump chump" build. :D

There is (the JVN-10P) and it's even in the base package. I'd suggest a 4 RL, 2 SRM/MRM loadout though; not as big a punch, but you can throw a couple haymakers and still limp on with a couple weapons through the rest of the match.

Hmm... my only problem with it is someone could've said "Here is the Whitworth" and I would've believed them though both look rather similar anyway.

I'm happy for another light though and this fits that bill.

I'm not enamoured of the all missile hardpoint versions bu tI'm looking forward to trying out the mixed ones.

My biggest gripe is that the ECM variant is the only one without jump jets. Grrr.

It looks exactly how I once hoped the Trebuchet would look.

RIP Trebuchet concept art.

Initially I had little love for the Javelin, but I never disliked it and recently I began appreciating it. In fact, I am almost exited now.

However I am worried about the huge missile launchers dominating the torso area. This is in line with the original artworks, but I wonder how faction camos will look like on this Mech. Does (faction) camo make sense at all if you only see it on the spindly arms and legs?

Anyway, regarding the builds... yes, it will be a challenge and I am looking forward to it. The Bushwacker forced me to explore new options and 'crazy' builds, some of which actually work well in game despite my doubts. Hopefully the Javelin will do the same.

Second screen shot makes it look a lot better than the first offering, Going to have to see what the cockpit looks like, after all from the inside I can't see old bandy legs

Looks cool, my Trebuchet now has a mini-me to run around with. I look forward to my pre-order coming in!

I just realized I'm getting a new light, which is my favorite weight class, to play with for my birthday. Neat.
