I'm hoping IS collectively decides not to participate at all.

Just to have the clanners sit in queues forever.

I'll probably switch to clan, so Night Gyrs... and Night Gyrs. Maybe a Cheeter or two.

I don't think they need to collectively decide anything. I expect a lot of folks will just skip it. I mean calling faction play "Tukayyid-3" doesn't make it any more fun to be farmed by well organized teams, to play a time consuming mode you dislike, or to be frustrated because you failed to take a dot (or in this case a slice of the pie) because you didn't time your drop at the right point in the cycle.

If PGI gives out massive rewards...even and especially for losers, then they might see more buy in of the casual population, but without such significance of the rewards, the event is still just faction play and there are lots of folks who just don't like faction play. Hell, based on the faction play forums, there are a lot of regular players of faction play who don't like faction play.

OOooooh, I like this game:

Three Cataphracts and a Vindicator. The deck is a little light, but with all those OP quirks, I think it is only fair.
Oh man, with those offensive quirks on the Phracts...I am going to beat the hell out of the terrain like you have never seen.
If this was a game about digging trenches, the Phracts would be the meta.

I'll play your game Trebeck.

Dragon 5N
Trenchbucket 7K
Wolverine 7D
King Crab-0000

There aren't enough quirks in the entire inner sphere to save this deck.

No ballistic on the 733p, the 732 has a gauss cooldown of 30% with module.

or the joke went way above my head?

The quirkening 1.0 gave the 733P ballistic quirks. Didn't get addressed for a long time, because the 733P actually does have a secret ballistic hardpoint. Keep looking and you'll find it.

Oh I know. But that doesn't mean that it is even remotely competitive.
Bad hit boxes and low slung hard points are not offset by all the quirks they have. If they did they would be used more, but they aren't. Find me a competitive player bring a Phract into MRBC or a top tier CW unit running them consistently. Good luck.

If you have a Black Widow would you take a 4x?
If you have a Marauder with JJ would you take a 3D?
If you have a Warhammer would you take any of the other Phracts?

Illya is still viable for hot maps, especially on defense but even this single niche...is still just a niche. There are better over all choices. Only "unique role" is the 0xp and that is only for the ecm, which realistically is not much of a role for a 70 ton mechs...oh and I see the Tempest over there waving too.

That's just the IS.
Compare the phracts to what the clans bring to the table and their comparative lesser value is made even more apparent.

Yes the Phract has some value and niche use but there are just far better mechs for a CW dropdeck and "OP quirks" don't change that fact.

Yeah you have some points.

But still, truth be told, i run the 0XP (on my alt) with a std, 1 gauss,2erll and ecm in the ultra long range bracket ... and it doesnt feel bad at this. (actual ... its really difficult, but from the feels i would even say its as good if not even slightly better then the hbr with4erll on the really long distance)
And i like the loyality one Posted Image , but i like most mechs with masc.

As a side note, i tested the ilya in one of the testrealms, for the skilltree, and fell in love.
Atm i am massing up event mc on my alt to get it on the next sale. 3AC10 under the skill tree where insane fun. Posted Image

I have a general rule for my Clan Dropdeck: All Mechs must have a Ammo to Tonnage ratio of 0.16 or better.

Right now it's 2 Night Gyrs each with 12 tons AC/2 ammo, a HunchIIC with 8 tons AC/2 ammo, and a JennerIIC with 6.5 tons SRM ammo.

If I were to downgrade one of my Night Gyrs to a Hunchback or Huntsman, then I would bring a Direwolf with 16 tons AC/2 ammo.

Since i don't got all the super meta mechs, aswell as being newb in FW(!)

I'll prolly go like such: HBR-EBJ-EBJ-ACH. Not sure if im breaking the tonage rules or not here, as i've not tried yet.

Else it'll prolly be like Kdk3 (currently lvling not even basic'd) HBR-ACH-ACH.

PS - no one is talking Scouting Mechs that has its own rewards.

Those Mechs are in the meta and just fine.

Actual tbfh this timberwolf build is intresting and i am thinking about it and on ways to improve it.
The rest of your builds are "garbage" (no offense) or atleast nothing i would play, but this thingy is kinda tempting.

Thats 225 tons and as long as your builds are good a decent deck.

If you have MDD and HBK IIC you can make it better.
65,65, 60, 50 is what I consider the best clan deck due to tonnage restraints (you dont want to frontload your weight unless your dropping with one of the better units because 1 mistake in that kdk and your drops basically over).

Seems so!
I took my very first ever FW tries tonight won 2 out of 3 or might've been 3 even. Bit drunk so i didn't realy catch on what the heck happened on the first match,
It was very fun and i believe i did fairly well.

Also meet a new friend, which hasnt happened in over a year from QP.

Altho on the very first match i went kinda suicidal, i die 4/4 first of all... ofc... newbie as i'm. However my well placed UaVs led us to victory :D So being pushy has it's benefits.

First time i ever set my foot into FP/CW.
