Well, I guess let's take one last spin in our IS mechs before the Skill Maze BS Nerfening V2 turns our garages into trash dumps.

I just wish they had given us more than 3 days notice. Most of my unit and many others haven't even been playing MWO. They should really give us a week and a half to get in contact with people and organize our schedules.

Yeah 3 days is a bit... FFS!!!!! Particularly with MRBC going on, most active units are balls deep, like BALLS deep in the turning point games of the season in many divisions. I'm literally struggling for time as it is.

lol @ your post about EVIL on reddit - Good thing EVIL are IS loyalist ;)

We are IS - I had a feeling this was coming. So I'll sit on the FRR hub as often as I can (when I'm not running 12-mans with my unit) and will drop call like a boss where possible. Just a heads up though, I will be very strict on drop decks during this as I don't intend to lose. Normally IDC about decks, work with whatever, but this is serious business.

That's just it, Matt used the forums to tell us this and caught us off guard! Nobody pays attention to the forums!

In a thread that people most people did not read.

(well I did), but it was just that an event was coming. Tukkayid is a bit more than an normal FP / MWO event.

They didn't tell, "us," about the event.

Matt implied there would be a FP event, sometime in the future.. in a forum post that almost no one read that wasn't about FP.

Their official site still says nothing about it.

Their Twitter account, full of spamvertising streamer retweets, still doesn't mention it.

Send me an invite if you have space and I'm on. I might even activate some PT for this. PM me what mechs you want and I will have them ready.

You've got our TS mate, hop past anytime, you're always welcome even if I'm not around :)

That said I will try hit the FRR/Kurita Hub as well, I've been doing that a bit more in Oceanic cycles of late as players are drying up. I've actually hardly dropped FP the last 2 weeks due to MRBC. Maybe 3 days total.

Yeah I've been touring TS's a bit but I honestly haven't been playing much either. Spent most of the weekend dropping in scouting matches for a change of pace.

I hated so much (still do) that I missed the second battle and lost my chance on the Exemplar badge. Oh well, at least I have my banners from the first battle.

@ Pre-"Tukayyid 3" Thread ---

Figures... PGI's blowing it again. They should be giving a FULL WEEK of advance notice, and yet there's no News Post on the Website front with information. Which also means that there's no In-Game News being displayed for viewing. Worse, it looks like they're trying to once again start it on a Friday in the Pacific Time Zone, without regard to the Oceanic folks. That's going to make that entire third of the Earth rage hard. Let's just hope PGI has the brains to run the Event for Two Weeks, like the previous Tukayyid Events. If they don't run it for long enough, particularly with this lack of visibly-indicated setup time, they're asking for Community-sized hell. <_<

And let's not get started with cutting things short for a Monthly Patch. That should be held off until this Event can run for at least two weeks. The next Monthly Patch shouldn't come at all if they're going to try to do those New Skill Trees, as they're not giving enough Nodes for Veteran Non-Meta Pilots, hurting Newer Players through lack of options versus Veterans who are compatible with the Meta, and they're over-convoluting on currencies. And if they nerf certain Support Weapons, well... I'm sure I won't be the only person walking out the door, as it's more than likely there will be a large segment of the Community ready to remove the components off the Mechs that PGI drives before they disappear with their Real $$$ and leave PGI to fall apart. At least, that's the image that comes to mind from Community-sized rage happening. I barely had my own Mechs effective enough to help teams I would be with, but that New Skill Tree system will render them all useless and force me into quitting MWO, given only a 91 Node Limit. We really needed 120 Active Nodes possible out of however many there would be, at a minimum. Games like "Borderlands" would even dictate that 13 Active Nodes should be allowed for every 21 Nodes present, which would result in about 150 Nodes allowed, but I'm not trying to be rabid about that high a ratio. I would settle at about 10 to 11 Active Nodes allowed for every 21 Nodes present. Plus, if PGI wants to not hurt their setup for the July Civil War Update, they must not destroy the Range Area needed to insert MRMs by taking away LRM Range, which would rather sadly hurt that Range Area. Which, by the way, taking any range away from LRMs would also give too much of an advantage to Energy/Ballistic Users. We don't need that issue with balance. ;)

EU also mate. Lots of Oceanic/Euro players overlap heavily as they are only 5-8hrs behind Oceanic (depending on time zone). So not a lot of difference.

I play with a LOT of EU players in Oceanic cycle on a Fri evening. As for a lot of EU it is Fri mid arvo/evening.

By starting the event a day early they would be helping TWO timezones of players. PGI really need to address that.

IS will lose again. Not because of any imbalance in the game or anything....simply because Russ is placed in the role of "Anastasius Focht." Nope. Gonna be the same thing it has been every other time.

I wouldn't be so sure for a lot of reasons.

It's fine if they like the balance of units this week as a reason to launch now...but with such little notice people (and the recent changes restricting realignment) pilots may not be able to get to the side they would normally play for this event. There are only a handful of active and decent loyalist units left....as so many went Merc over the last year.
Yes,some guys(and units) have Alts that can play whatever side they want, but this may well catch people who would normally play Clan (for example) on an IS contract. We even have unit guys who maxed their loyalist rep (level 20) and went solo Merc to grind rewards, possibly having to play against who they would consider their unit mates. So, while I am all for events like this...a little more notice would be nice...just so folks could have gotten to where they consider "home" if they wanted.

I just watched the video?

"Will you protect your future?"

Considering the state of the game and especially CW right now I could not help but smirk at this. Then when I considered that this statement is part of a promo for an "event" that they have done twice already because they lack any desire/effort to do something new and I broke out into a full laughing fit.

Thanks for that PGI.

ISn't FW all ready round the clock Tukkayid ?

"Looking forward", does this mean 4.2 launches at the end of Tukkayid meaning it's only 1 month late?

Does this mean the Skill tree 3.0 PTS will start Friday? Can't have a PTS without an event after all.

Is this a loyalist only event? So PGI can claim they are finally delivering on the promise of loyalist only events? Posted Image
