I'm one of those wierd guys that actually buy keys every now and then to open some caches. Due my account still is fresh enough so i almost always need everything in a box. :P

So 25(35?) keys is amazing giveaway not counting all other amazing rewards mc n plenty of cbills.

That was scout mode where 1 disconnect is 25% of your firepower and ability to soak damage.... you have a much better chance of recovering when 11 vs 12.

The truly silly thing about your statement btw is most of the merc units I know are ON the IS side already.

Not to be rude but I've not lost an Invasion match as clan today and it doesn't feel like much to do with my personal skill as I'm levelling totally new mechs in three of four cases. Posted Image

I see the bar is still completely one sided. More likely because newbies want to play on the winning team, in which is probably being dictated by the comp-level teams who use the meta clan mechs (even the SRoT comp team uses mostly Clan mechs). I'm sure balance is also still an issue here, but I'll add myself to an older bandwagon, but something to keep in mind for the future of Faction Play:

1. I know it has been already said 12 IS vs 10 Clan (as it is was in lore) is not possible currently with coding, the engine, etc, but this is exactly WHY PGI needs to figure out how to make that happen for FACTION PLAY ONLY. There is no need to implement that in Quick Play as tech is mixed on both teams anyway.

2. Either that, or allow IS to field Clan tech (even in limited amounts).

And no, I'm not a whining IS player that "Clams are OP". I actually love clan tech and I know it's supposed to be a bit superior. I also know it was made superior as a gaming mechanic on TT because Clans fielded less mechs than IS did in a full company and also because of dueling. Basically, I'm saying that even as someone who loves using clan tech, I also can see there needs to be a major change of one of the items stated above going forward. Granted, the IS tech update may improve the balance on its own, but until July comes around we won't know for sure.

Nice to have so many SC keys available in this event, but unfortunately I have sold the majority of the supply caches I have been sitting on simply because of the scarcity of keys being available to us recently as prizes. On the bright side, I hope to have a lot of keys ready for supply caches to come!

I am loving this event. Great rewards, attainable goals for those with lives, but most importantly CW is alive again!

Oh, drats. Didn't notice they'd fixed that loophole. That does suck. Whelp, there goes my suggestions for that issue.

As for folk having trouble with getting wins, I've a brief primer on the game mode. I'm not much of an FPS gamer, so it's written with emphasis on the tactics an strategy, since their more my thing. Maybe it'll help?

Is it possible to participate in the event as a freelancer? The event announcement web page says that this is the case ... however, so far, I haven't been able to figure out how to enter a match ... the "Fight Now" button is greyed out and I receive no "Call to Arms" announcements.

I don't know why they don't just keep tweaking the tonnage limits until the balance is a lot closer to 50%.

So, what this all proves is that, no matter how you dress it up - Clan tech is better or all the good players are Clan or a combination of the two - FP is broken beyond repair and is no longer fit for purpose.

1. As I told before - make events to force players go for FP game mode is wrong way, better focus on balance and other motivation.
2. 1 and 2dn "Battles" has more interesting rewards, IMHO - MC is cool (since You can waste it as You want), but what about unique colors, camo schemes etc.?..
3. Why Tykayyid again? Why not "operation Serpent" or any OTHER "battle" like DC capital world defense?..

P.S. Main request - split groups from PUGS! Stop that madness! We are asking for ages for that and again - PUGs got dropped VS 10-12 pre-mades... That's one of the core problems of FP since it was released and its still unfixed!!!!

Curious how you could get ace of spades with: a) your defeatist attitude; and B) your self confessed inability to do at all well.

Though your ability to tell who is in a group amazes me tbh.

I suspect people would have more sympathy with mercenaries that say they want to go go back to working for the IS faction. But somehow I feel that this is rarely asked for...

At this point PGI disable the overhead orbitals. There will be no tug of war with opFor always being able to see your advance. Call it a ComStar interdiction!

I have been out of the loop for a long while. What is the reason the battle is so lopsided? Is it that most elite units are in the clans?
