*sigh* Hawk please stop reading into things that aren't there. I did not "diss" DCM as I did not even mention your group. Nor am I "plugging" my guys, especially since we are not recruiting. It is however easy for me to use myself as a reference, because, you know, I know myself, and that makes it pretty easy. My post had nothing to do with you Hawk, I was trying to help Alkero.

With that said, Alkero, the signature part was actually referring to Greenhell, sorry for the confusion there.

Oh im sorry, the fact that we call ourselves DCM and you wrote this (IE House Kurita, aka the Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery (the name of the actual military)). seemd to me you were taking a side swing as a joke. I guess you were just explaining who the DCMS were ;-) or subconciously you were ******** with me...since you had to point that out ;-)

You're not as "new" as you think you are. I always thought of it as a "Persistant Campaign universe" in online form. Again, speaking from ISW, dropping with House Mates and against other people who are just as good if not way better than you is a very unique and learning experience. If you think you might not have all the top-notch skills all the Veterans have, I guarantee you we will probably have nights where we will practice and refine our piloting and shooting abilities. I remember back then when Davion and Kurita were allied, we would have Sunday Morning practices for around 2-2.5 hours and we would pick a topic of interest and we would practice in that field.
You are not alone here and you brought up a good topic. Many people probably have the same questions you have and it's always good to bring these questions up.

Davion and Kurita allies?
Blasphemy!
If anything, the Davions should be our vassals.

Davion and House Kurita were much closer toward the jihad, and worked together...it was said that Lord Davion at the time was interested in Kuritas Daughter.

I didn't know that First Prince(ss) Yvonne Steiner-Davion was sapphic.
Which is why she married Tancred Sandoval.
While their child, Harrison, is too young to have such expressions (b3070).

Even more impressive even, is the fact that Yvonne would be in love with a non-existant daughter.
The Coordinator has two sons: Shinjiro and Vincent.

"Lord Kurita"?!?

This is a prime example of names not to use. First question that came to mind... "Presumptuous much?" Effectively placing yourself on the automatic-s***-list, I for one won't be taking much you say seriously without significant efforts on your part to counterbalance a poorly chosen name. Even silly names like hulagirl (no idea if someone actually has that name or not, just random) would hold more initial weight than you.

It would be like me coming in with the name "Khan Devalis". I have no right to the rank or the bloodname, yet arrogant enough to claim both.

For your sake, I hope you make a new account with a reasonable name.

Hey all. First time with the Dragon. Traditionally I've played Davion (TT) but I can't suffer the FedCom Alliance too well. I waffled between CC/SIC and DC for a while, and finally settled on the Dragon. Looking to form a conjectural Amphigean LAG unit, the 3rd Amphigean LAG Regiment. Looking forward to winning over the hearts and minds of the galaxy with you all.

Eh, who am I kidding? looking forward to beating all comers into capitulation with you all! ^_^

<warning...double post with introductions thread...>

O-haiyo gozaimasu. O-namae wa Tai-i- no Yozume desu. Yoroshuku onigaishimasu.

I started out with the Battletech RPG and CCG in middle school in the 90s then later moved on to Mechwarrior 2 and the miniatures game. Battletech followed me throughout my undergraduate and graduate work where I studied East Asian military history and philosophy.

At one time I preferred units like the Sword of Light, Otomo, and Izanagi, I am now shifting towards the Sun Zhang cadres.

I like to dabble in painting minis from time to time also.
