Hi All,
According to the event announcement, it is possible to participate in Tukkayid as a Freelancer.
https://mwomercs.com...nts?t=201705tuk
"While Freelancers will be able to participate in Tukayyid battles, they will only be eligible for receiving Personal Challenge Rewards from this Event; they will not be eligible for any Event rewards which require a Faction Contract or allegiance."
However, I can't seem to get this to work. I have created both scouting and invasion drop decks so I would think I would be good to go ... however, the "Fight Now" button is greyed out and I receive no "Call to Arms" notifications.
What am I doing wrong? Or is PGI just wrong again about Freelancers being able to participate?
P.S. I realize that I can make a one man unit, pick a side and sign a contract ... but that isn't the point. I'd like to try both the clan and IS sides of FW and this seemed like a good opportunity to do so as a freelancer while earning the personal challenge awards.

I think the problem is that the system fills up teams and then activates a call to arms to fill in missing slots. With such a great turnout, there might not be time for the system to turn on the call before the queue fills up?
If so it should slow down once the weekend's over.

Suggestion: If you don't want to join a unit create a one man unit yourself and sign a mercenary contract with your favorite faction.

This.
I created the Zhi Chiang Constabulary expressly for these events, and its membership comprises of.....me. Though maybe after the UM-K9 drops I'll find some like minded folk interested in being Space Cops. I long for the day a lance of Urbies run through Scout Mode with lightbars flashing and sirens blaring!

The only problem I have with this is that I like the IS factions better (I have more IS mechs than clans) but the clan mechs perform better and clans appear to be stomping IS this time around as they did last time. I also have a smaller selection of clan mechs with fewer of them mastered.
However, my MAD-IIC, Arctic Cheetah, Stormcrow etc ... even though some of them aren't mastered yet ... still outperform my IS mechs on average.
So .. do I choose the factions I like, using mechs I like to play, but set myself up as a clan punching bag? Or choose to align with the easy mode clan side even though I don't enjoy playing them as much? It would be much easier if things were balanced.

As a merc all contracts last for a week, so you can hop from IS/Clan
For this event I suggest clans, clans usually have an easier PUG life so you will probably complete the event easier.
