Same frigging argument over and over and over. People just don't want to admit that scrub-mechs and no planning = ROTFLOLSTOMP.
Every time is see a "Clans OP" "Quirks OP" thread i just want to reach through the monitor and smack someone on the back of their head.

I mean I have lost 1 game so far... one game. That was one of the ones with Ash (mixbag). It is crazy to see the 100% clan win bar when I know I have lost only 1 game to them.

IS is packed full of soloist players that rotate around the tier 4-5 rankings, bring stupid builds, pack their mechs full of XL engines but don't torso twist. You can have a IS 12 man unit winning 100% of their matches it wouldn't matter because for every game they win, those IS players are losing 5.
The fact IS is at 40% right now is huge.

in my mind there is no point playing faction play as inner spire . im going back to quick play .
I wholeheartedly disagree with this.. and let me tell you why..
I was watching my GF drop last night.. she's stuck in an IS Marik contract like many others.. so she dropped IS attack on Boreal..
The IS people She dropped with LITERALLY did not know how to open the gate and were shooting at the door itself.. Then, when she opened the door for them, went just inside the gate, stopped and tried to shoot at mechs.. They did not take cover, did not focus fire, did not try to gen rush.. nothing.. just stood there and tried to fire for 10 seconds before ERLL and gauss fire cut them down..
So yeah.. Clan mechs not OP.. Clan Players OP

Dude, considering the horrible connection problems where the organized 12 man groups are failing to drop....coupled with the fact that IS terribads seem to be worse than the Clan terribads....this is what you end up with.
This is NOT a good measurement of balance. Not in the slightest.

Quite the contrary Inner Sphere cheap mech costs have a big impact, because of the cheap IS Mech many new and casual gamers chose IS. Which is a big handicap for the IS in events like these.

Sorry Bjorn but I'm going to disagree with you on that one. Take a look at the leaderboards and tell me that none of those units qualify as either big or skilled (IDI doesn't count, we're just chaos incarnate and if we don't know what we're doing the enemy can't counter it

228, EVIL, ZMOM, NS, 12DG, SROT, 54MR, MM, CBR1 to name but a few are up there and you'd say that all of these guys are unskilled?
In my opinion the simple fact is that the majority of new players seem to gravitate to IS 'Mechs because of the cheaper initial purchase price, then they realise that to make this 'Mech competitive against Clan 'Mechs they have to spend the difference in purchase prices (and sometimes more) on upgrades. This is one of my bug bears about the new player experience in this game, the lack of information IN-GAME for them to actually base decisions on but I digress..... IMO the IS is losing due to the larger number of ill prepared pilots and their attendant 'Mechs.
But it ain't gonna stop me from enjoying myself

The answer maybe coming from a natural attraction for the 'bad boys' side, or something regarding the 'so said' superiority of clan weaponnery over IS. Personnaly, I have to say I've seen 12DG and other IS units salughtering clanners often enough to consider that victory is much more a manner of skills than the side you choosed;
Now, all i have to say is : let's form groups, organize ourselves efficiently and go kick some ***. I'm not a good player, but I know coordinated company is key. I have even seen some bunch of pugs win against well known units as they get them disorganized. So, everythings possible it seems !

the problem with the tug of war mechanic is that it takes a relatively small positive winrate to peg the thing at 100% one way; if one side is winning 55% of their games that's more than enough to keep the meter at 80-100% to their side, as we have seen.
