I am not receiving any call to arms banners. I signed up Freelance and have my call to arms alert setting checked. Any idea what else I need to do?

The Call To Arms alert is actually designed for active matches to be started and such.

Since the event is ongoing for a while, there's no actual need to remind everyone "hey guise, there's Tukayyid".

I'd make sure you'd have both your IS and Clan dropdecks squared away first and play on both sides... figure out which side you want to roflstomp in (hint: Clans).

Can freelancers actually complete the faction challenges?

I believe so, they only get the personal challenge rewards though. That said, I still have not received a single call to arms, do I need to be in the Faction Play section of the game to receive them?

You aren't/won't be getting any "Call To Arms" during the event. Just queue up and you'll be there.

If you can't get it working just make a 1 man unit and join a faction for this week as a Merc.

Ahhh, that did the trick. Was able to queue up after joining a faction. Clan Wolf for the win!!!
