AAAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! i JUST FINISHED 2 HOURS TRYING TO PLAY THIS DISASTER PGI CALLS FACTION PLAY. I HAD 7 MATCHES AND EACH TIME I GOT STUCK IN THE DROP PREP SCREEN. I SELECT A MECH AND THE COUNTER COUNTS DOWN FROM 30 TO 0 BUT INSTEAD OF RELEASING ME IT JUST GOES BACK TO 29. AND COUNTS DOWN AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN! IT RELEASES ME WHEN IT FEELS LIKE IT BUT THE WORST PART IS I WAS KILLED THREE BLOODY TIMES IN THE DROP PREP SCREEN IT COUNTS DOWN TO 0 TWICE THEN I HEAR THE SOUND OF DAMAGE HAPPENING ON MY MECH. THE DROP PREP SCREEN IS STILL BLOODY THERE. I CAN'T DO ANYTHING TO DEFEND MYSELF. AFTER MY MECH IS DESTROYED, IT IS RELEASES THE MECH. I'M NOT SURE I WANT TO CONTINUE THIS EVENT. I'M NOT SURE IT'S WORTH THE AGRIVATION LEVEL FOUR HOURS OF SIEGE??? COME ON, GIVE US A BREAK. I THINK AFTER THIS I'M GOING TO SERIOUSLY CUT BACK ON MY USE OF FACTION PLAY IF YOU WANT FACTION PLAY TO IMPROVE TRY FIXING THE DAMN BLOODY THING FIRST. ./rant

It literally took me like 5 reads to figure this out. So, you are having problem with dropship bug? I would contact tech support if it's happening that frequent for you.

It used to be an issue for me like a few month ago on rare occasion. But I have not encountered it since so many patches ago. So, I really can't diagnose any potential problems for ya. Maybe someone else that's also running into this problem can shed some light.

BUT if I have to guess, I say your game is not rendering somehow. I would check the integrity of your game file, perhaps it is corrupted. If you are using Steam, you can try verifying the game cache. Otherwise, might have to do a fresh re-install. Again, that would be my guess.

There have been numerous cases of dropship bugs and mass server disconnects ever since the event has started. OP's complaint is legitimate.

We had a scouting lance drop on two servers at once. They were DC'd on one but won the other.
The clanners came to our people and said "Hey you were all DC'd on that match."

I've never had the dropship bug during the event so far, and only have seen it twice before. However I did get the spawn selection screen bug where that screen stays up after drop and the only way to get rid of it is to leave and rejoin the match at least 6 times yesterday.

Only had the dropship bug once (I had the one where it drops you out of bounds, and you can't move, and then after awhile it transports you back into the dropship to place you at your proper spawn). But the load screen bugs were really odd and prevalent: Intermittent screen flash; friend indicators coming and going at random; long periods of "loading" followed by a flash of the match introduction screen, then back to "loading", then back to the waiting room screen, then bam...into the match. Never the same pattern but the symptoms were present to some extent all night last night. Didn't notice it on Friday.

This game is just weird.

Somebody said it stood for "Faction Warfare," but I have my doubts...

I gave up reading this, reading in huge bold caps quickly numbs the brain.

Also just play it or go back to qp.

thats a Major Problem ! in the last 20 games each 3rd Game a Spawn Bug..fix this PGI ,thats a real frustrating problem ,more as new mechs or Tech

The dropship is bugged in more than just FP.. I've had QP matches where the dropship drops us all off at the start, than a few seconds later, a single, second, empty dropship appears, hovers, and then leaves..

Support has been informed of this.

It seems to me they need to seriously look at their dropship mechanics, cose' something's not right there..
