Nice quad action here.

Nice. I like that Warhammer IIC model. The Rifleman IIC getting ct'ed from the rear in this other video is PURE HERESY!

Don't worry I'm sure that pilot got right back up in his mech and pwned those vtols.

Oh look, circus mechs. Lets not. We have enough trouble trying to get decent Bipeds in game, lets leave the circus mechs for HBS to deal with.

i kind of want them on the grounds that its new unencroached territory that mechwarrior games really should explore, as a matter of adding something completely different. instead of "lets make a mechwarrior game but lets add as little stuff as possible, and then sell an insane number of mech packs" kind of system pgi uses.

Yeah it would be nice to have something a little different. I think one of the main problems is that you'd need slightly different key bindings and controls. I can't see pgi actually adding a second control layout like, for example, the ARMA series.

I think it would be awesome to have a few quads.

WASD would be forward/backward and strafing.. and the mouse's X axis would be turning instead of torso twisting. It would be really weird to get used to and a bit tedious to try chasing a squirrel around trees and buildings.

The HTAL doll would look weird as hell, though.

Agreed - If they can do the Urbanwasteofspacemech they they can do quads too

See? No torso twist needed.

I wonde rhow usefeull they would be.

cornerpopping wouldn't work well, and what about twisting? doesn't seems good. So all in all, hill humping and poptarting would be the only ways to use it.

With pinpoint accurate weapon - glueing yourself on a slope wouldn't help much.Posted Image

But if weapons would have some dispersion - this would be a great move for the scorpion - only showing PPC and cockpit part - most shots will hit the cover.

You don't twist in a quad... you strafe. Also, quads would be better at climbing and the added to that they have a lower profile in general so they'd be a bit more sneaky.

Will always. Always.

I mean, even in Flyingdebris MWOified form, quads are amazing.

At least up until they become Proto-Quad Zoids. Then I am on the fence....

I'm being practical. It's already an uphill battle trying to get a half-decent Biped in game. I mean, all one has to do is look at the Civil War pack to know just how much of a pain it is. Not a single one of those mechs is good. Oh, the MK2 has one semi-decent variant, but it's a Piranhatech variant. The Anni is slow with low mounts, the Cougar is slow with giant STs, the Uziel has a belly-mounted cockpit, and the MK2 is an overweight EBJ with low mounts(with the exception of the MKII-A's single ST ballistic mount).

Yeah, sure. Every new mech must have a slim profile, high cockpit, high mounts, and a big engine cap with all the hardpoints.

You want every mech in the game to look like this?
