No need, fortunately, we get refund for those and the skills. Also people are just taking advantage of the event to XP more mechs for the new system. But that is just an hypothesis.
Although i pitty those who sold mechs cause of "only need 3 to master" kind of stuff XD
Gonna keep mine for sure

Im not selling off modules because they're going to be giving a ton of skill points out for them and because cBills are easier to come by. Just hand me a massive pile of skill points so i never have to worry about having enough..

My refund is going to mean I can master an addition 280 mechs. I do not need that many GSP, maybe enough to master 30 mechs would be fine. I am going to mass sell the bulk of my modules and hopefully recuperate 700 million c-bills or so (I have a pretty good idea of which mechs have modules bought prior to Dec 2016, and which ones will be 100% c-bill refunded)

Yeah, we get refunded in skill points but I wanted to know if c-bills would be better than skill points?

Yup. I don't have the portfolio that the long term players have, but what the hell do I need 80 mechs worth of SP for in a game where the future most chassis mates are nearly identical and we only need 1 instead of 3? I'm planning on selling half of my modules. So that I still have enough SP to instant-level/node out any future mechs that I might not want to grind, but I want the cbills more than the SP so I can have a good clan deck ready to go after PGI trashes all my low tier IS mechs.

1.) the old ones (prior Dec 2016) will turn into GXP
2.) the new ones will be refunded in C-Bills at 100% while selling gives you only 50%

I would prefer not to either, but again, what use is 280 mastered mechs worth of GSP to me? All 116 of my current mechs will already get 91 pts automatically assigned for use, and I've already more or less theory-crafted min/maxed PGI's poor excuse of a skill-tree, so I'm not going to really be tinkering with it (not to mention that most of my mechs will have 500k+ legacy XP to use)

i havent been following at all, is this classic PGI that is half way thought through with no depth? or is it actually something to look forward to?

Classic PGI
Edit: here's a link to the laat iteration of the skill tree on PTS (its supposed to change a little bit prior to going live) https://kitlaan.gitlab.io/mwoskill/
On the surface, it looks like lots of customizing, but really, there's only 2-3 different combinations of must-haves

That all depends on your perspective. GSP is a combination of the C-Bills you spent for the modules orignally plus the added benefit of enough free XP to make the full purchase of a Skill point. For me, that means I can Master my Mechs plus about 10 future Mechs for free. It is a great deal for some of us.

Or it would be nice if there was a toggle upon changeover what kind of refund a person would want for their modules
