Dear PGI,

There is a lot of angst about how the new skill will impact folks with a lot of modules in terms of reimbursement. On the one hand, these were not required to functionally use their mechs at the top level ... many purchased extra modules just for convenience.

There are many people who only purchased a few modules and swapped them and others who purchased many.

For someone with many modules and whose mechs were also fully mastered, the new system will grant them sufficient HSP to master each mech but they may also have vast amounts of GXP from module purchases that they would likely never use.

One example posted on the forums is someone who spent 781 million cbills on modules. In this person's case that is over 17,000 GSP ... enough to master hundreds of mechs ... while their HSP reimbursement is likely to be sufficient to already master most of their mechs.

I'd like to suggest that for folks in this position, you add the option for players to sell GSP for Cbills. This lets the player decide whether to keep the GSP for leveling mechs or take some cbills for purchasing stuff. You can decide on a reasonable exchange rate. At the very least a GSP should pay out 22,500 cbills since this is 1/2 of the rate used to calculate the GSP conversion rate and is the amount of cbills that would be received if someone sold off their modules before the patch that removes modules.
