I've returned into mechlab and respeced him, then tried testing grounds again - no difference. Thanks to great Random, this bug found only with this mech - TBR-C(S) from steampack. Ebj from another pack tested without any improvements and acted as intended. Pirates Bane too, all others don't picked as it took no interest to retune all of owned mechs.
Devs, any thoughts about hotfix?

The Skill tree itself has some rather annoying build paths with certain things gated behind next to useless upgrades, but I do like it, even though It will take a while to fix up all my mechs.

Went full mobility, got up to both seismic sensors, and all cooldowns plus both lbx spead reduction.
The skill tree isn't so bad, however you cant get everything back prior to the skill tree. I cant even get any radar dev as an option cuz i sacrifice that for mobility. I also experimented with survivability and its actually very good. U tank like boss in a assault. Operations is garbage. IMO i didn't see any difference.
For IS Assault, I got the magazines and its very good. For uac5 dakkas, with 10 tons ammo u get 60 more rounds (off top of m head) with full magazine skills. U can take 1-2 tons off ammo and get whatever on yur load out. Was quite accommodating with my mauler dakka.
Theres gonna be some good and hard choices to consider. Overall it aint a significant change prior to skill tree IMO.

It is a bit daunting at first, but does not take a terribly long time to figure out how it works.
The skills are not easy to click on or off.
Radar Dep is too deep down in its tree.
PGI REALLY needs to either give us one free respec for each mech, or let us play a few games with the skills before our selections become permanent, even if it just in the testing grounds (look at HOTS' 'TRY' feature).

Old gameplay was more changeble for one mech. Now you need more.
New give you more meat to chop and to survive, more houres to play.
For me, it is OVERNERD, old one was not enough. Toooo many nodes...

Skilled some mechs and played them, not a big change at all.
The game is still what it was 3 years ago.
Maybe it would have been better to spend the work and money into giving this game some depth and story.
Dont know how this Skill Tree will lure new players into this game, and in my opinion that is what this game needs.

This post isn't about my personal opinion - it's about collecting data regarding the new Skill Tree.
As evidenced by this thread, some people hate it, others love it - but why?
Which factors influence our enjoyment of this new aspect of Mechwarrior Online?

Boo...Hoo.
Make the best mech you can with what is available and move along...please.
This update/skill tree is awesome. I truly mean that. I love that I can more fully customize my mech to my liking, and I even like that I am faced with the hard decision of Sensors or Firepower or Mobility. Makes my decisions more important. Fun update.
