PGI you suck

I find it hard to believe you guys took the time, and thought this was a good idea,and then committed the man hours to this. Ask yourselves: could we have made the game more PLAYABLE?

Didn't you have any meetings about this? Was your goal to make the next Edsel?

How much time do you think me or anyone else should invest in figuring out how to use this junk and then redo every mech I have?

I'm here to PLAY! Using MY FREE TIME.

Its not OUR game, its their game. They just let us play it. This was their vision, they said they were gonna do it, and they werent kidding. What did you think was going to happen?

The new patch made us to spend more time in the lab and not on the field.... which is very boring IMO. Like this limits the time we actually sit in that Cockpit having fun shooting at other mechs. It's like all the other MMORPG games except you are in a mech instead of some anime character.

This game is booring now. Less interesting. There's less "having fun" involved now.

this is out of control........out of control.... and we will be lucky to live through it...

i play all my mechs the same......i have no need for this....

total garbage. im sorry .... but its true...

if anything...the only skill tree needed is for fire power....the rest is mute.....

the rest should have been just straight down nodes in order.....i have selected nodes and it says i have selected nodes that dont even apply......but i have no idea which ones?
because i have to get the ones i dont want to get the ones i do..............

MECH IS NOT A SKILL TREE GAME....wth did you guys do......

do the people on your PTS even play the game?

I'm taking a long break from this game. I might never come back. Why do I have to buy things I have never used to get the things I already had? I don't give a crap about cockpit shake but I have to take it and waste my skill points so I can get what I already had. I am seriously considering asking for a refund and deleting this game forever.

When ever you create a system that makes you take options you don't want, just for the sake of getting to something you do want, the system is flawed.

If you create a system that requires refund LEDGER is sent to all players, your system is flawed.

A bigger game such as you simplified the skill tree because they found out people would find the optimal path and use that one. So they created a much simpler skill tree with meaningful choices. You may have heard of it? World of Warcraft.

Here's the thing, skill tree isn't needed in any form. All it does / did is give every mech a flat bonus... that you have to then balance the game around anyway. Come up with a different reason for people to grind, skill trees for each mech isn't one of them.

I logged in after work to pew pew and relax, I took one look at the new skill tree in person and quit the game.Unlikely I'll log in again.

Yeah man, talking to a lot of our pilots - break is on the cards, myself included. It's just ridiculous and so convoluted I don't even know where to start?

I spent 20mins this morning trying to theorise one mech because you are effectively punished for making a bad choice with reskill costs... So I just logged off and went to work. I'd planned to spend a few hours but, after how bad it is. Fk it.

QP / FP / Comp all need different builds, plans, skills. You literally have to spend DAYS in the mechlab trying to sift through it all to even get a vauge idea of what is going to work in each circumstance/modes/area of the game.

I cancelled my pre-order as well for this reason. Voting with my wallet on this one.

I am so confused by this bloated crap skill tree system. I need hill climb to get cool run? Who thought of this? Outfitting EVERY MECH. I would have much rather you have put resources in new maps or different modes.

I am sorry I told my friends about this game.

I've played a few MWO matches in the past, I think stats have at least 16 or 17,000 recorded excluding tourneys, private lobbies and pre-stats. The accrual of c-bills, xp, GXP etc. have all been earned and carefully spent, tweaking mechs to get them the way I like and being able to quickly move from one loadout to another to suit a particular dropdeck.

Now, I need to waste extreme amounts of time to re-tweak my mechs, in a trial&error basis as I have no means to do comparisons for skill tree effects - and if that's not bad enough, you made trial&error expensive as you have to burn SP and XP to activate nodes.

All of this over-complication for what? To unbalance the game after you spent years balancing it? New players will hate it, old players do hate it.

Like the guys above, I now have limited game time and if I'm going to sit down to play mechlab-warrior or another game, I'll likely choose another game. I don't want to re-grind, re-trial, re-fit every mech that I've produced over the past 17,000+ games. I just want to play.

oh... and I'm pissed that you turned all my module money into GSP. Almost 19,000 GSP? for what? Seriously. SMH.

This skill tree is a god awful chore that gets in the way of enjoying the game. The respec costs and increased grind are just a kick in the nads for good measure.

I did 8 mechs today. I never want to do another mech again.

I spend about zero time here in the forums, but I'll make an exception in this case.

Before, I could sit down after work, or late at night, early in the morning....whenever I had time for some stompy fun.

Thanks for taking that away from me.

This change is a fix for a problem that didn't exist.

Now I have to spend hours tweaking out a mech to try to get the FEEL it had before, while wandering around a maze of boxes that is boring me to tears.

WHAT DID YOU DO TO OUR GAME PGI!?

Whoever decided this was a good idea needs to go work on the next iteration of Dai Katana or Duke Nukem, cause this is bull****.

Cancel your pre-order if you don't like the way things are going. That is your right as a consumer, and it is the only way to send a real message to PGI.

Ugh, I'm glad I held off on buying a new mech pack until after this nonsense came out. I hope they fix this mess or I guess it's time to find a new game to play.

I wish I could disagree with this thread. I was pretty excited to get my Javelin today until I spent twenty minutes messing around with the skill system... Didn't even play a single match with it.

I'm trying to decide if I like your game enough to figure this out.

Every time I look through your tree and I see something like Improved Gyros or Shock Absorbance that is blocking something like Heat Containment or Armor Hardening my mind reels inward on itself and begins searching for the appropriate insult to hurl at the person who, theoretically, spent time making these hexagonal arrangements. Then, my brain shuts down altogether because it can't process that large of an amount of insults grammatically. It's like google searching the word "porn" and then trying to arrange all of the results alphabetically and by genre (hardcore, **********, vintage, bondage, etc.) and then putting all of that into lyrics for a song. That's what it is like trying to insult the person who thought this skill update was a good idea.

Who said you have to skill all of your 200 or 400 mechs, while you most likely only play a handful?
