I used the HSP I had already to build a tree. After that I was going to balance it out with some GXP, but then I noticed that there's a cost in C-Bills to convert it.

Does this mean that going forward we have to pay (with C-Bills) for the privilege to utilize the XP and GXP experience we earn?

Read over the patch notes. I'd completely glossed over it. It seems that now I'll have to grind not only for C-Bills for new mechs, consumibles and equipment, but also so I can use my hard won EXPs.

Well, that changed my opinions of the new skill tree considerably.

If you don't have GSP then you will have to get a little under 73000 Exp and 4.1 Mil C-Bills. This is so much cheaper then having to buy 4 modules that could cost anywhere for a total of 12 Mil C-Bills up to 16 Mil. Also no more having to buy 3 mechs, this is soooo much cheaper then what we used to have.
