Lrm/ams Gripes Post Patch

I've noticed some issues (most notably in my KFX-C) with AMS actually activating on incoming missiles. It works sometimes and not others in cases where it would activate prior to the patch.

Does AMS still trigger when you're not within the specified range of a friendly mech? Prior I was able to place myself between the mech sending and the mech receiving LRM fire and my AMS would shoot down the missiles. I'm no longer certain it's working this way.

For LRMs: I lost 10% off the top (base range being reduced to 900m) and whatever the bonus was from the weapon module, but the rationale behind the change was "With the various changes and generous Range bonus' given through the new Skill Tree we wanted to reign in the inherent Range of the LRM weaponry. Getting full Range for LRMs will now require investment into the Firepower Skill Tree."

My Stalker-5M only hits out to 1125 now from its previous 1250.

I have a Nova with 3 AMS - and also I used the skill points to get the overdrive (to simulate the Overdrive module I had perviously) - and I am experiencing the same issue. Before, when I would get in front of the firing line to provide cover, it would be almost constantly active, shooting down incoming LRMs - but last night I was surprised that I was actually killed by LRMS - after a few hits I verified that I had AMS turned on, and indeed it was. I cannot ever remember being lrmed to death in my Nova with 3 Overdrive enabled AMS units.

I don't know for sure, but I feel the patch has nerfed AMS for some reason.

If you were not aware, AMS is currently completely bugged(also read useless) as it will only shoot missiles locked onto you. Which is part of the reason there are SIX LRM BOATS IN EVERY ****ING GAME and absolutely no way to beat them.

Also, according to weapon tooltip, 2 nodes of AMS overdrive boosts AMS damage +2,5 from 105/s. So even if it would actually shoot missiles fired at your friends, fully skilling into AMS will only boost damage from 105/s to 107,5/s which should amount to no actual effect. Also might be that tooltip is bugged. I have not tested effect of AMS nodes in practice.

I saw a youtube video showing some inconsistencies but I didn't see anything on the first page of this forum about it. Hopefully this is something that's addressed in a hotfix.
