The new skill tree is the best thing that happened to MWO in a long time!

Also, for those who don't know, Skill Tree values are going to be adjusted a bit here in the near future. Should get even better.
and yes it is better than the old system. The ability to effectively only need one variant of a chassis is the best validation for it out of a few others.
Not module hunting is the other.

Most everything is self explanatory...is your mech hot? Heat gen, Cool run...can't hit crap with ballistics...err stack your velocity.
Are the people that are having trouble, I mean, are you old and no longer able to adapt? Its fine and perfectly valid but I mean the alternative is ignorant, flat dumb, can't read or all of the above?
Really the only complex part was figuring out the different currencies, how they apply, and what they do and differences.
HXP, GXP, SP, HSP, XP, mc....That part I get, that is confusing. The the tree itself? You just mouse over and read what the node does...if its not already obvious from the nodes description in the first place.
I mean, I didn't read any instructions...I just clicked on crap.
I'm thinking people just get overwhelmed by the size of the tree? I dunno, if you get knocked off keel just by something like the skill tree, whose information is all hand fed to you, I'd hate to know what you do for a career...because this is childs play.

Man, I really wonder if people even realize just how much they tell about themselves, when they call this system "complex".
Bunch of nodes of small increments to a specific trait <----------------------------------- complex
It is only approaching a "complex" territory, if you have no idea what you want for your mech. In this case, might as well not even bother with skills until you figure that out lol.
