Taken from "Battle of Tukayyid 3 Battle Statistics"

Quote

Total Inner Sphere Pilots (Tukayyid): 8,640

Total Clan Pilots (at end of Tukayyid): 8,641

REALLY?

From own experience:
Playing IS for the first 2/3rds of the event we had insta drops while all the streamers on clan side I've watched had some serious queue times.
After changing to clans for the last 1/3rd we now had queue times although seemingly not as bad as the clan streamers I've seen.

No way it evened out that perfectly in the end ... sadly makes me doubt all the rest of the statistics, too ...

why would PGI have reason to lie on statistics?
it was also said many times during Tukayyid that Smoke Jag had many more Units,

the Stats show,

Quote

  • Clan Smoke Jaguar - 1,115
  • Liao - 636
so Clan Smoke Jag had almost double as many Units as the next most populated Faction,

Edit-
also one says Total Pilots, one says Total Pilots at the End of the Event,

if we take the Stats,

Quote

Total Number of Unique Pilots who participated in Tukayyid: 17,380

Total Inner Sphere Pilots (Tukayyid): 8,640

17,380(Total Total) - 8640(IS Total) = 8740(Clan Total),
with this we can Infer that at the Start of (Tukayyid) Clan had(8740), IS had 8640(IS Total)
with this we can Infer that at the End of (Tukayyid) IS had(8739), Clan had 8641(IS Total)

I didn't notice that.. But man that is odd!

But sure, i could totally believe that.. from playing pugs it seams fairly evenly split.. I am sure tons of pug players skewed the over all numbers of who is playing what. most puggers play IS, more groups play clans..

It makes sense

(and seeing i played both sides on my accounts, one clan, one IS, what i said about the puggers/groups is fairly accurate from my experience playing about 50 matches on each account.)

Those numbers probably only reflect the number of unique pilots that, at some time, dropped for the faction they were registered to at the end of the event.

So we can't tell what percentage of pilots only dropped a few times, and then chose to stop.
And we can't tell whether they dropped in Scout or Invasion.

It's time to put the tinfoil aside.

Similar numbers of pilots does not mean they all played with the same frequency.

Ah, my error, I automatically inferred that those numbers would be comparable and the different wording just a typo.

But still, why would anyone post similar but non comparable numbers next to each other if not to 'doctor' a statistic?

I also don't get your reasoning what smoke jaguar unit numbers have to do with queuing times (or anything)?

What Jens Bonde said is probably the real reason:
large number of IS solo potatoes let themselves get farmed only once or twice before just giving up in fact reducing the active IS pool while organized clan groups can't get enough of roasting them.continuusly.

8640 is divisible by 12 ( the number of ppl per side in a game ) That stat is probably " the same " because of that.

It probably counts participants as anyone who played 1 game. So even the guy who only did 1 scouting match, then never played FP again gets added towards the total.

Game companies create alternate numbers all the time in public releases , and state facts that make there product look good , like number of player accounts , but not the total players of actually playing the game and logging in hours . how many of those numbers are not actively playing FW but have chosen factions might have done one drop during the event ETC , Alternate facts are used in the gaming industry to the the player bases regularly this is nothing new .

Okay, something is confusing.

~330k Invasion matches

~1.1million mechs destroyed

"Matches" must mean player matches. 24 matches per Invasion drop.
