I write my name backwards, drop a few parts and it resolves to "avatar". Back in the day, we found this rather amusing due to the Ultima/Wizardry series of games.

(The hero of the Ultima games is called "the Avatar". The Wizardry series has the characters Werdna and Trebor, named after Andrew Greenberg and Roberd Woodhead, creators of the series.)

'Kaijin' has a number of meanings. The Phantom. Mystery Man. Monster (humanoid). Fisherman. I took it back in MPBT:Solaris days as my Kuritan handle. Short, and I like the triple dots from the iji in the middle of it.

My normal username on forums, AndonSage, just didn't seem to fit a MechWarrior, so I needed something new Doomfarer comes from "The Doomfarers of Coramonde" by Brian Daley, the first book in a duology about an APC crew in Vietnam that is magically transported to another world. I just think the name sounds good

I completely made up my user name many years ago to play EverQuest (God, that was a long time ago). My real name is Attila, and up until then, I've thought Attila was a badass enough character name. However, they wouldn't allow people to have names of actual historical figures.

So I had no idea whatsoever what I'd want my username to be. My favorite game of the time (one of my favorites still today) was Freespace 2, and I remember the star system that linked to Earth was called Delta Serpentis. It was referenced in a very dramatic way and stuck with me. I simply altered Serpentis in a way I thought sounded way cooler, and Suprentus was born as a new original name.

If you feel like reading into it, the name could also allude (so has been speculated by others) to mean like a supreme apprentice of some sort, always learning and gaining knowledge as someone wise should. A true master does not exist, so we must always strive to be better. I've never personally took that as absolute meaning behind the name, but I've used it as my primary character name in almost every game since.

As for me, it's a name I created for my illithid character in a tabletop dnd campaign. I became to use it since couse i loved that character, the name sounds badass, my friends spend a LONG time trying to memorize it, always making mistakes with gave me many laughs (brings back memories ).

A Seraph is a type of angel. In Christian theology, they constitute the highest choir. They are described in the Bible as having six wings, and are perpetually aflame. The plural term is Seraphim, as many of you have probably heard. I decided to made it slightly more original. I'm often accused of spelling it incorrectly, but grammatically speaking, seraphin means "the state of being, originating from, or similar to a seraph," i.e. "possesses seraphin qualities" or "is of seraphin origin." Think of it the same as you would "Elfin." The idea is that my persona is seraphin in nature and composition, or being of a similar form.

For those that want the less complicated explanation, I really like angels and I really like fire. The fact that something that combines the two actually exists was inspiring to me, so I've adopted it as my namesake ever since I found out. The "290" on the end is a number I've used in all of my other screen names to date, and its inclusion helps ensure that the name is always available.

Mine is quite simple It's my gaming name for all things Onii - originally would have been Oni but that was taken so I added an extra i and Guyver - my favourite anime.

Mek - To make a long story short, I loved the game Descent back in the day, along with Descent 2. The main character was called Material Defender and I loved that callsign. Buddy of mine convinced me to try to play Mechcommander 1 online with him(Think that was my first time in an online game, cant really remember haha), and I wanted that as my name on the Gaming Zone or whatever it was called that hosted it. Too long, so I changed it to Mech Defender. A while later, another friend of mine started calling me Mek D. Fender, so it sounded more like a real name, and the name Mek stuck.

Barton - A reference to Trowa Barton from the Gundam Wing series. The whole thing together has stuck for years.

Mine kind of speaks for itself, I don't want to hide who I am so I use my real life name. Although, someone else had had the same idea in one game so I changed the first "e" to a "3" and Fl3 was born (fyi it's pronounced flea just in case you were wondering)

I used to have a thing about the letter 'G' (which might seem a bit odd, I wouldn't deny it), so way back near the dawn of online gaming history - which for me was Doom - I started with Gadget as my hobby at the time was electronics. Then I gravitated to Goethe, named for a character in 'The Dancers at the End of Time' series of books by Michael Moorcock, though I can't remember what I was playing at the time. When X-Wing Vs TIE Fighter came out, I went by the monicker of Gambler and that seemed to stick from then on.

It suits my life / play style because occasionally I'll flip a mental coin and throw myself into the chaos to see what comes of it: it may be a stunning feat worthy of admiration or laughter, but it's more likely that I'll just get flattened by whatever the ordnance of the day is.

i have been using bloodnor since about 1998 in the days of UNREAL no idea were i got it from.. when i first started playing WOW all them years ago when checking out my stats on the WOW website before battle.net there were no other bloodnor's i took a break from WOW back in 2008 and came back in early 2012 now there are loads of other bloodnors bloody thief's

For a decade and a half I have used PhelanPKell for my online handle everywhere I go, this is because of the impact that the character from the Battletech novels had on me when I was younger.

Throughout the years I have had to use different names on occasion, including Trent Nostra(taken from the unblooded Clan Nova Cat mechwarrior, but adding a CNC bloodname) and CtrlAltDel.
In the last few years, I've spent some time using HackTooth for some games, as that is also a reference to my website, but a few months back I considered a new handle all together.

I considered how I like to be sneaky or invisible where possible to accomplish a task or slip in behind, and considered the word "figment."
However the word by itself is kinda boring, so I decided to swap the "F" for "Ph" and add in that part of Phelan to bring that lineage forward, and added "The" at the beginning as well.


When I originally signed on for the forums, I went with PhelanPatrickKell, but in light of the devs intent to lock down canon names eventually, I figured I would bite the bullet now and get it swapped.


As a point-in-case of how much I've spent using the name PhelanPKell, I got through 17 pages of Google before I gave up trying to find a search result that did not pertain to me.
