the Wolfhound IIc doesn't exist. Grinner was a completely unique mech when it was rebuilt by clans.

And it was, is, and will always be officially called Wolfhound IIC - if you like it, or not.

CLAN HERO IIc Mechs are Draw with More Weapons than they can Carry!

Is it me or did they really go overboard on drawing the IIc Hero Mechs? I mean heck if all the Hero IIc mechs came equipped as they are loaded in the advertisement drawings, I would buy all four mechs in a freaking heartbeat!!!!!

They have the mechs drawn with way more weapons than they can possibly carry let alone per hard point load outs in the description, nor if you added up the tonnage. Come on PGI draw the D@mn mechs with the weapons that are included in the purchase not some fantasy mech with weapons we couldn't even load up if we wanted to. There are a lot of people out here that would just look at it and go "Sh!t Hot" and buy it without reading the actual load outs.

You make the Hero Mechs out to be more than they are!

Can you say "FALSE ADVERTISEMENT"?

Not buying any of them now.

My two cents...

About the pictures of the Mechs not matching the description: False advertisement is illegal in many countries ...

Guess you are either not from the US or you have never purchased a new car and looked at a brochure. That is why they put those tiny little disclaimers on all those pamphlets that say "Photo shows non-standard equipment." Oh look, PGI has a disclaimer on their photos too!

Standard marketing. Consumers responsibility to educate himself.

I don't see why I should purchase any clan mech considering you're just going to make them worthless in the future. Nope, I'm saving my cash for Battletech.

If thats how you feel/think, you may need to play with the skill tree... i am getting great games in all those "worthless clan mechs"

Didn't realize the ECM was cannon.

It isn't mentioned in Stackpole's book...

Well it actually is mentioned:

She directed him to look at the 'Mech's head and ears. "The edging on the ears is part of an electronic counter-measures system that will make the 'Mech harder to spot and also to jam many of the advanced targeting systems used nowadays.
(Blood Legacy, Ch. 21)

However, if you refer to the IS Reststance Hero, you are right. Phelan's original IS Wolfhound never had ECM. In fact, it was a run of the mill, IntroTech WLF-1, it did not even have DHS ERLL etc. There would have been modified Wolfhounds better suited for the Hero Mech, but well... that is another discussion.

Anyway, now that one Mech is enough to master it, I would very much welcome the Wolfhound IIC.

Not in my copy, but since my copy is full of typos (much worse than the other books) I am willing to put that down to another printing error. Posted Image

THAT I will give you, but I can also guarantee people would have thrown fits enough if we had gotten any other pilot's WLF...

And they also would have reacted just as bad (if not worse) if we had been given anything less than what we got. Posted Image

Don't be silly. You want a Mech which had a pivotal role in the narration of the FCCW, was common enough to be on the RATs of the LAAF (and its signature Mech, no less), and would be good in MWO?

No, you get the Annihilator which does not show up in any FCCW story, is hardly seen outside Wolf Dragoons (who had no part in FCCW), and will be at best mediocre.
Also you get the Uziel, a Mech which does not show up in any FCCW story, is hardly seen at all during the FCCW, and will be at best mediocre.

(Wrote this in another thread, but unfortunately it is still true)

At least put a proper loadout on mechs when making store pictures. Hunchback looks ridiculous.

I am trying really hard not to be snarky here, but if you run clan mechs, and you have just a smidge of patience, there are few clan mechs not improved via the skill tree, if only via the survival nodes alone...

I kinda have to agree here. There is "Images may not match actual loadouts" and there's "Image represents an extremely impossible loadout that is so wrong on so many levels."

see it isn't so much that the depict them well over tonnage and what not, but if they at least had that sort of hardpoint capability, I'd be interested. but these things are so starved, it's like we're back in the old days with the Yen Lo Wang...

First off, Where is power creep? IT DOESN"T EXIST IN THIS GAME!

Second, I want all of these! they have what a hero mech needs-hardpoints the other guys don't have (MASC Orion? YES HBK with both beam and ballistic hunch? YES Jenner with Ballistics? YES HGN with ballistics in 2 locations? YES)

well.. I like my IIC mechs. a lot.
these here, however..

every single one is _worse_ than the ones I already have. if they at least were on par with existing variants..
and the paintjobs (apart from the jenn2c) are also pretty meh..

so.. pls do some work on those, pgi. pls.
also: do some more maps and put those out for a tenner or so. I'd rather pay for some new maps than for new mechs, tbh.
