Because apparently 7 jumpjets to full height in a 60 ton mech to DEATH FROM ABOVE a locust does less damage then a machine gun hit. Maybe fixing that would make fall damage skill points actually useful. But NOPE we got cotch huggers and run thru warpers crying.

Physical attacks aren't part of this game. Doing a DFA while an interesting example of piloting skill...its no more useful than just ramming someone. One point is still only one point.

I hope they bring back knockdowns. Will give light pilots second thoughts before brawling.

id rather not die from teammates crashing into me

collision damage is fine as is

We had a multitude of recommendations that would add in more complexity in realms of piloting, sensors, and the like. These recommendations were shouted down by the "I want point and click adventures" crowd.

please no. i remember when we had high collision damage in beta. and teammates would bump into you and rip your arms off. that was horrible.

The thing is, collision from friendlies can be tuned down @Khobai. They can also detect a DFA vs random bumps.

Being able to tackle fast enemies was something I was reminiscing with a friend about just last night, I'd like to see knockdowns return, though maybe not to the full extent where an Atlas would park on a Jenner's head so they couldn't stand back up for the rest of the match.

Ahh the fond memories of tackling a Jenner that was harassing you and dropping an A1 Streak Kitty onto an opponent by jumping on its head. I miss those days.

I think this would be a direct buff to the NTG and a nerf to all lights.

Not really since you and I both remember that before they removed collision that we had the best scout pilots in the game. It only made them better as a pilot and taught them situational awareness.

i think maybe 50% more collision damage would be better. and make the damage depend on relative velocity, and tonnage.
