Im not sure if this can be done by the system, but how about an event where you play a specific kind of weapon each day? Like sneaky-SRM-Sunday, Mad-LRM-Monday, thrilling laser-tuesday, weird PPC-Wednesday, total Ballistic-Thursday or something like that ^^

Doesn't sound like a terrible idea.
Still, I think the challenges are tied in to your in-game rewards.
"Detect 10 enemies with a UAV" requires you to earn "UAV detection" 10 times.
They do, however, track your global stats of what weapons you use the most to kill a target, so I imagine this is possible.
