5MPL?

I currently run 3 LL on an Urbie. That's 15 tons of laser. I could do 4 Light PPCs and add 3 heat sinks.
I wanted to do 5 Light PPCs but they take 2 slots each and 2/5 of K9's hardpoints are in the CT.

That's going on all my lights, I thought it was a "Given" :-) Especially my Raven 3L.

The K9 has 5 hardpoints for energy, though... Want to use them up! Maybe a RAC5 and 5 Lasers?

I mean, a RAC/5 is 10 tons. 5x ERSL would be 2.5 tons. That leaves you with 2.5 tons for ammo. It would probably be better with a RAC/2.

that would be correct. You can essentially pack essentially max speed, armor and some JJs, wwith a RAC2 and 5x ERSL. Of course.... this depends on if RAC2s are worth it. (endo, XL engine, Light Ferro)

Since it comes with a UAC5, it would probably have Jam Chance quirk for it, so i bet it would be the best dakka platform for it.

Last thing I heard PGI was unsure about making the lights toggleable via the missile door button or some other method.
Is it really comming? When?

Might try 2xLPL, 2xSL depending on energy rebalance.

I could keep doing 3 LL, but I do that on my special C-Bill boosted R63 already. I really want to find a good use for 4-5 energy.

So far good suggestions have been LPL and 4ML, 2LPL and 2SL, RAC/2 and 5 SL...

I think a single RAC/2 won't be worth it, though. Long FaceTime for a long range weapon... In the time it takes to deal any real damage you'll take a few banks of ERLLs or PPCs as return fire.

I might just do the 4 Light PPCs if I want a ranged load, or 3 lights and a snubby.

Upgrade those 4ML to ERML when new tech hits. Should be near equal range. That is, unless their rebalance of energy turns LPL into junk.

I'm leaning towards RAC5+5xERSL. No such fing as 'nuff dakka, but RAC5 is gonna be a lot closer than RAC2.

that 2 ton difference means giving up a lot somewhere though, be it armor, JJs, engine size (not much to surrender there)...ad the ammo expenditure is going to be brutal. I'm sure quite a few folks will try it, but I have a feeling RAC2s, or UAC5s will be more the order of the day, ballistically.

I'm running x5 MED Pulse Laser, x1 Machine Gun, AMS. 1/2 ton of ammo each for machine gun and AMS, loaded all in right torso with CASE. I have both magazine skills for extra machine gun ammo as well. I also drop some skill points into range to extend those Pulse lasers a little further. Total firepower: 34.7 with 1.16 Heat Mgmt.

Upgraded Engine to XL 180, bringing speed up to 97.2. Kept the Jump Jets and x3 double heat sinks. Max armor minus one point in each leg. With armor skills that comes out to 50 armor in the legs, 42/37 in arms, 51 in L/R torsos and 74 center.

Total Cost of Loadout changes from stock K9: 3,612,750 C-Bills + Consumables - Selling Old Engine (STD 60): 184,000

I tried copying my LBX10 + 3 Small Laser loadout, but decided to roll with a UAC5 and 2 Mediums with like 3 tons of ammo for the UAC5.

I also can't stand putting that third laser on the arm, it covers the text

Yeah, but do you want to try and poke with it or backstab?

5mpl is a backstab build, 1lpl and 4ml is a poke build.

Of course to poke, since the hardpoints are together. Besides, Urbie aint got enough speed to backstab, like Locusts or Cheetos.
