I would like a challenge where 1 weekend it is strictly a lights challenge. Next weekend medium challenge the weekend heavy and next assault. Think it would be a good way to see the different builds of players and would be fun to see 24 mechs of the same class slogging it out.

Biggest problem with something like that is you have no way of getting any kind of balance in the match making system. this would fail as the teams would be 12 of what ever the event size would be, and the system would have trouble trying to compensate.
unless it was done as like a 4 v4 or 6 v 6 kind of special event thing that was built around something like the planet scouting, but not scouting. That might have a possibility, but they would have to design something like that special, and I don't see that happening.
