1) PGI is a Canadian company, as such they are not required to observe American Holidays, we had ours (Victoria Day) last weekend.
2) PGI just did an event weekend, this past weekend.
3) If they were, they would've posted about it yesterday.

Yes, however, the majority of their consumer base are US citizens. While they aren't required to, it would certainly be nice. Personally, I think a red poppy cockpit item to be given away on appropriate remembrance days would be a nice gesture.

I figured if there was going to be something it would have been posted but no harm in asking as I don't know their track record.

They usually happen around Canadian holidays, sometimes they overlap with American ones too.

That should give you an idea of when they are likely to happen this year.

There was a period of a few months where they had some kind of event almost every week. I think the community got a little burned out on them, so they're trying to pace the events so they don't have more than a 2 a month. That and events do weird things to the queues. They tend to get above average number of players for events, but it also tends to alter people's playstyle. For example, one of the more recent events involved getting a KMDD against every weight class of mech of both tech bases (Clan ligfht, Inner Sphere Medium, Clan assault, etc.). It radically alters how people play when they KNOW they need a KMDD against a clan medium (for example). Suddenly that player is performing yolo-rushes against Stormcrows, Novas, and Huntsmen hoping to inflict as much damage as possible just to get the KMDD.
Many events that rely on KMDD numbers see people pulling out LRMboats. Because LRMs have no damage drop off, halfway decent range, and tend to spread a lot of damage around without actually getting the kill shot, it is fairly easy for a properly played LRMboat to get multiple KMDDs without actually getting the kill shot (which is kind of a win-win scenario, the boater gets his KMDD, the other guy gets the emotional satisfaction of a kill shot). Note that LRMs are not a particularly great weapon system, as they tend to e reliant on teamwork and the opponent being sloppy (a lot of experienced players know how to deal with LRMs, but aren't in the pratice of it, so they get sloppy... often). LRMs are, however, infuriating, as you may have no idea who or what is spotting you and never even get to see the guy lobbing fiery death on your head.
