So the Resistance 2 and Clan iic heroes have had their loadout adjusted to make them not just deadweight. Why not revise some of the older mechs, PGI?

If you are struggling for where to start, i can offer two words.

Pretty

Baby.

At least this mech needs attention, PGI. You've shown you'll adjust other heroes, so please revisit this and the other older heroes.

Seconding this.

Heck, expand this to standard mechs too. The Spider 5V, for instance.

PGI is having issues with balancing a lot of 'less-loved' mechs. Quirks, uber-quirks, quirk-nerfs, rolled-in quirks, engine syncs, de-syncs, heat sinks, time sinks, skill trees/roots/networks... it's madness!

Yes, they should definitely give 'remodel the bad models' a try. Shorten the gorilla arms. Make torso mounts torso mounts and not belly-guns and hip-mounts.

For heaven's sake, allow us to choose which slot a weapon goes in! As opposed to this ring-around-the-rosey of trying different weapons in different combos to try and get your primary weapon in the highest mount.

Note: this applies to all less-advantaged mech designs, not just heroes. And no, I'm not suggesting every mech should have high mounts and cherry-picked designs; but yes, do use model re-works to benefit some of the disadvantaged mechs, and possibly to tone down some of the 'all high mounts poptart/hillhump' specials.

Yep, the Yen-Lo-Wang still needs its left arm energy hardpoint.

I'm kinda afraid of them trying to remodel older mechs. They remodeled the Catapult for the rescale and I don't think the new model looks as good as the old one.

We can ask them if they're able to update many mech (hero's included) weapon hardpoints, be helpful, I'm just glad they add one more hardpoint for the Orion hero.

So much this. I would actually mount PPCs on my Banshees if I didn't need 3 in 1 torso to get them above the hips.

PGI fixed the barrels on the Mad Dog and Black Knight but SRMs on various mechs are still broken, and others just have poor weapon geometry or need just ONE, JUST ONE MORE HARD POINT to be truly effective.

It is still a better mech for it though. I mean yeah a mech looking cool is neat but lets face it, when your playing your looking out of the cockpit, not at the mech your playing.

Because some people might be pissed if the mech they already bought got altered? A few like the Pretty Baby could use it, no doubt... but there will be plenty of people on almost any chassis who don't want them changed.... And really no one who owns an older one has room to complain... those were the hardpoints when you chose to buy it.

Except this is the original YLW, which didn't have any energy in the LA. But don't let facts get in the way.

Because unreleased mechs might generate more money if they get buffed while very old mechs probably won't generate much extra money if buffed since most of the people who want them already have them.

Hardpoint inflation is a thing that exists in this game. There is no reason this mech should be locked into one single usable loadout that requires quirks to be at all viable. As I've said to you before when this has come up: if you don't like having an energy hardpoint in the left arm, don't use it! Won't affect your build in the slightest.

Not a good idea to change things people already paid for. Simple as that.

Actually that's not true. They do it all the time.

Indeed. TBR, NVA, ACH, and others lost quirks...all on chassis that had been paid for by early adopters.

Yeah. But hard points feels like a step too far. Might open up the gate for anything to be fair game for changing.

So long as they only add and never subtract, it really isn't a problem.

I suppose. But anyone gets in their head that for the sake of balance something needs less hard points, it may happen.

Still, it would be nice for some mechs to get more hard points.

You mean like every other "NERF KDK-3!!!" post that says it just need to lose 2B? Yeah, that could be an issue Posted Image

If they ever do decide to give the crap heroes a leg up, it would probably be months after the CW update.

Who knows.. Pretty Baby might be somewhat useful with 2MRM40/2HPPC.. (No, it won't because the hardpoints are way too far apart.. but that's probably what PGI is waiting to see..)
