Steam: Alt-Tabbing Brings Up Search Pane, Not Desktop

So I just installed the Steam client (because I hate the idea of using the Portal).

While using Full Window mode, hitting Alt-Tab brings up the Search Pane rather than the Desktop.

I'm using Windows 8.1.

Any ideas on how to alt-tab between the Steam client and the Desktop rather than activating the Search Pane?

it should be a different hot key to activate the overlay ... shift-tab maybe ? other than that, you would need to have the steam app open to task swap to it ... the search pane on windows 8.1 was the equivalent of the start menu, and I'm glad they got rid of that behaviour ... 8.1 was kind of line the in between unification for doze ...
