the only reason clans tolerate LBX20 is because they cant use one shot autocannons. If they could they certainly wouldnt be using LBX20s anymore.

Ghost heat and overall lower heat. You can fire dual lb20s as fast as you can pull the trigger for as long as you want without heat nodes. Plus crit damage is very, VERY much a thing. one shot low armor heavy and assault mechs. Your dps far outstrips anything an AC40 mech will be able to put out even chainfiring. At close enough range the shots are effectively single shot high crit rounds.

Also huge ballistic range bonuses on IS mechs tightens the spread even further.

higher dps doesnt matter if you cant control where the damage goes. AC40 is superior because you can put the damage exactly where you want.

20% range quirk + 15% range from skills + 5% reduced spread = every pellet going exactly where you want it to go at 200m-300m and you can sandblast effectively at 500m. The CTs or ST of Heavies and assaults are plenty big enough.

Look I've been playing the Dual LB20X Hunchie (that doesnt have a range quirk) a decent bit and a decent match is 6 kills +900 damage. I'm talking from experience. When you've done your 100 matches in it then I'd like to hear your thoughts.
