i Got called a hacker/cheater once. I remember it well. It was on crimson and some LRM stalker was lobbing lurms at us, and i snuck around to the far ramp. (they were facing theta)

So i climbed up the ramp and saw the stalker about 300m away, and he kept moving back and forth just a litle. He would stop and fire, then move a little then stop.. When he moved i'd move, when he'd start to stop, i'd fully stop.. I repeated this a couple times till i was close enough to basically get an easy core on his back side.

Right after i got called a hacker cause he had seismic and i got past it. I thought it was great. the only time i've ever been called a cheater.. But anyone that watches me, knows i surely don't have an aim bot.. though for some reason i can be deadly accurate with my ac20, about the only weapon that i really excell in.


My dream is one day someone will proclaim me as using an aimbot..

i got hackused once, i was in a timby, i had 2 high mounted cerppcs. locust comes running into the base completely alone. he runs in front of me at about 300m out i fire my ppcs in what is essentially a half aimed popshot. shooting at a locust that close in going perpendicular to your line of sight at full speed with a slow ppc is a hard shot to pull off. they strike the st and the locust goes down. somone on my own team calls me a hacker, probibly jealous that i ate "their" cookie. new players see locusts as an easy kill, they are anything but. you see 3 mediums take 5 minutes to kill locusts all the time. so they get mad when you take one down with what seems like grace and elegance, but what is really a clumsy split second tap that got lucky.

No, I get that you are not cheating. The issue as I see it is that the game does not discriminate between players that are highly skilled and those that just play a lot. As a very average player I have attained a Tier 1 ranking, meaning I am in games regularly facing, Tier 1 players with KDRs ranging from 2-20. (Mine is less than 1.0) Current rank 15,000 plus playing against guys that are in the top 100. It is cheating. Not by you, but by a ranking system that pits slubs against top players on a regular basis.

I still have a good time, but I know that this system is flawed and sometimes have outstanding games against top players. Until PGI reconsiders how to create a more level playing field, some players will continue to feel that the system is rigged against them.

I will just play and have a good time.

I wouldn't take it too personally, that certain someone has also accused me of cheating before. It's probably his go-to when he can't accept a loss.

Not sure if you were cheating or not but your naming and shaming the guy that accused you of it which is bannable. So your getting banned either way maybe not permanently though.

Interesting so many cyber bullies piled into the topic to.

Maybe this reply wont be popular among such a crowd but I like to keep things real.

Just a little reminder to guys that are used to bullying in private team speaks and such. This is an open forum to players and don't expect not be called out.
