A good/skilled player will a) have a well built mech regardless of the actual chassis and 8) be able to beat the stuffing out of a bad player in any mech that isn't an idiot proof hard counter like streaks vs light.
If you don't think this is true then that just means you're not good enough to have done it yourself.
