Why Do The Clan Mechs Still Have Acceleration/ Deceleration Quirks ?

Maybe you should read patch notes more carefully.
Inner Sphere mechs that had mobility quirks had them directly integrated into their baseline mobility. Example: Look at the difference between the Black Knight BL-6-KNT and any other Black Knight. You will notice that it has noticeably higher mobility stats in the readout.
The Accel/decel quirks on clan mechs are there to demonstrate what your bonus will be if you take a particular set of 8 omni pods; but like IS mechs, quirks outside set of 8s related to mobility are part of the base stats. And when you consider most set of 8 omni pods are inferior to omni pod mixing and matching, those extra mobility quirks will rarely come into play.
Also the quirks are displayed for individual omni pods that increase mobility to make mechlabbing easier.

Snazzy, no, don't.
Please follow the party line: "Clans OP!", "IS is nerfed again!", etc. - Always go with those first, as a kneejerk reaction, and never research or actually look at numbers in the game. Sometimes I think this game brings out the worst in people - predominantly when it comes to interpreting easily available data.
Agility Reference Sheet said:
80 - Commando (all)
77.69 - Locust (1E, 3M, Pirate's Bane)
75.39 - Spider (5D, 5V, Anansi)
70.76 - Spider (5K)
66.15 - Assassin (all)
63.85 - Jenner (all except Oxide)
61.55 - Viper (all except C)
59.24 - Mist Lynx (all), Ice Ferret (all)
54.63 - Wolfhound (all), Cicada (all)
52.31 - Jenner (Oxide), Phoenix Hawk (all)
50 - Urbanmech (all), Raven (4X), Kitfox (all), Arctic Cheetah (all), Jenner-IIC (all)
Oh, looky there, Commandos and Locusts have MORE THAN 50% better baseline agility than Arctic Cheetahs. Oh snap.

haha black knight is one of the few that transferred over. Take the warhammer above it and the on1 below it. Both have nothing transferred.
Flippen 45% acceleration on the on1-p pre nerfs and it has the same value as the blk 7 now that never had quirks?
If they really transferred these quirks over it be fine but they didn't.

Not the same tonnage you can't really compare this. Smaller mechs should have bigger baselines. Only mech you can compare it to is maybe the javelin.

The Warhawk never canonically had a locked TC. It coincidentally had a TC in every stock variant, but it wasn't physically wired into the mech. It would actually be impossible for hardwired TC to work in TT since the TC scales its critslots and tonnage based on the amount of weaponry you carry.
Another example is the Arctic Cheetah coincidentally having a modular Flamer on every variant without it being truly hardwired.

So explain this away why clan still has this when you took it away from mechs like commando , locust, phoenix hawk , cicada hell even the dreaded original Jenner but in you supreme wisdom left it on 6 clan mechs.
I guess Paul and Russ play clan because since day one of clan there has always been discrepancy's in balance and they always favored clan.
So you guys keep doing what you do and keep making exceptions for you pet clan mechs and the real men and woman will play Inner sphere which is basically MWO extra hard mode. While clan people can play god mode or extra easy.
I am tired of hearing how good the people that play clan are this is a joke if you were really good players that wanted a challenge you play Inner sphere. The fact of the matter is the bonuses that clan gets almost never gets nerfed more damage less weight for components streaks and such never get touched. Where as on the Inner sphere side quirks get nerfed ever month or so.
BUT PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS ...... BECAUSE NOT ONE INNER SPHERE MECH HAS ACCELERATION / Deceleration QUIRKS ANYMORE ......EVEN THE ONES THAT STILL NEED IT.
Few letters and words for you to ponder on OP....

Quantitative Fallacy - making a decision based only on quantitative observations, discounting all other considerations.
If Paul and Russ always favor clan then the quality of quirks on Clan would be equal to or greater than IS. That was obviously not the case pre-patch. Post-patch many IS mechs have vastly superior quirks than many Clan mechs.

You skipped the rest of the thread, eh?
Repeating, for you: Locust and Commandos have an over 50% better baseline agility than Cheetahs, even with those quirks, which are, again, 8 Omnipod bonuses, because the IS mechs had their quirks rolled into the baseline.

See that first bold set of letters.
I dunno what you are baiting at, I play plenty of IS lights because only the Jenny IIC and the ACH are worth anything on the clan side really. Aside from a niche role in MRBC or something.
IS lights are pretty good, WLF 5 MPL is tanky, SPD 5K still gets a 31.25 cooldown on its single laser if you tree correctly. Even the JR7-F is a great mid range skirmisher now and has structure quirks to begin with that get a nice boost.
ACH is not really better or worse since tree, Jenner IIC much the same. They get a small boost with the weapon department but every mech can do the same.
The real issue which you seem to miss is that IS Sml Pulse lasers are garbage compared to Clan, outside of that and the IS XL which is certainly less forgiving there are some IS lights that are still pretty awesome mechs. (awesome not included)
You idea that quirks are how they want to balance IS mechs exclusively is off base. Maybe some time ago this was true but it certainly is not the case today. The tree as well as quirks will be used on all mechs in the game to have bad robots get better and great ones get toned down. Doesn't matter what side they fight for if the Uziel something comes in an is OP because X tech either X tech will get hit (which sometimes happens anyway) or the mech with get something.
Plenty of clan mechs are piss poor dude, MLX, ADR, Lowlander IIC, DWF, all these mechs need something to become viable because none of them are even close to the top of there weight class. How many EXE do you see in game?

I do, indeed.
Someone gets upset because clans get quirks and IS don't. That was a mistake in their observation, as IS had their quirks rolled into the variants, resulting in an average of 50% better agility compared to clan contemporary. Then someone shouts TTK & Power Creep, and I fail to see how this relates to the thread. Because the thread is based on an incorrect assumption that was debunked in the first few posts.
