But that last one has a extra bonus that doesn't get mentioned as much. It isn't just that you don't have to aim much, its that low fps and random fps drops don't effect you as much. Who needs good frame rates when you just need to put the reticle near a box? Definitely seems like it would matter less than when you need to line up that pinpoint ppc shot on a moving target 1000m out.
And on top of that LRMs often seem to be the cause of these frame rate drops. Be running along in a group of players with computers that exceed the recommended requirements by a lot with mostly low settings, come across some enemies, call out "they have Lurms" get the response of "we know our fps just plummeted!". So using the weapon that doesn't need fps causes the players that do need fps to lose some of that fps. And I believe that is just one to many attributes for the weapon.
So in order to nerf LRMs I propose that we fix the fps problems in the game. No more random performance where some times the game runs great, some times it doesn't. No more of the fps is fine for this guy but not for that guy even though comps are about the same. No more drastic fps drops when lrms blot the sun. Just nice smooth gameplay. I believe this is a 112.1% fair nerf that most everybody can agree with. And if you don't then theres just something wrong with you, probably a puppy kicker or didn't read the post or something.
Don't be a puppy kicker, nerf lurms by buffing frame rates!
