1. If you don't like MWO, don't play. Really, it's that simple.
2. If you can make a better game go make it. Maybe I'll give you my money too!
3. If you can't post a coherent argument that doesn't amount to "I DON'T LIKE IT AND YOU SHOULDN'T EITHER" I don't and won't care about whatever it is you think would make the game better and I hardly think the devs do either.
Side notes: Stop trying to shame LRM users. I just disco'd from specing a match on Caustic where an atlas had two weapon groups: AC20 + 4 SRM4, 4 SRM4 (no chain.) What should be shamed are the splat builds people use but hey, I'll keep my mouth shut if the alphawhores do too.
That guy calling targets in the pink mech who doesn't overheat all the time and has a decent comprehension of how to play the game despite the changes,

PS Does anyone else but me remember the alpha build? You know, when missiles went through mountains?

Then you get the people that complain about certain weapons, and blame their inability to learn how to use them effectively on the mechanic behind them...instead of...getting good with the weapon(see the currently running gauss thread).
Yet the continue to play...and be frustrated, and complain some more ect ect ect...
Its rather nonsensical.
Man if i was that unhappy or frustrated with a game I'd just stop playing...yeesh.

I miss my family... PGI has them tied up and locked in a shipping container somewhere and won't let them go until I rack up enough play hours. That's the ONLY reason I play this unfun game.

I have no idea how to make a car, but I sure as hell will complain if I buy a car that has an unreadable speedometer. As long as complaints are constructive and have some actual sense put into them, they should be looked at, and discussed about, not thrown away as "I dare you to do better!"

Have you considered the notion that peoples' favorite Mechs and equipment might be their favorites because they are particularly powerful or effective relative to the rest of the game's assets?

Please see point three. Now go home Restos, you're obviously drunk.

I don't think people would be opposed to nerfing chassis that need to be if PGI used scalpels rather than sledgehammers.

When people complain and whige it usually means they are passionate about something
when my children have a meltdown because they want Icecream - it is because they really want it and feel very strongly about it, my denial of their frozen dairy treat is the most unjust thing they have had to deal with in their lives
the thing about the internet is, it is faceless we all feel superior to other people who we deem as being unreasonable
we as a community need to understand the above and shephard the younger less experienced guys through life, make them understand.
understand they are passionate about the game and the threat of leaving is really just the icecream tantrum, it passes quickly and is meaningless
I have had my fair share of icecream tantrums in my life especially about games as this is my passion
try the supportive tactic now and then
try a different mech, i found this... , try mediums if your assaults are getting ganked
.....just sayin

Yeah, Binkus, I understand your point.. unfortunately, as far as I've met people in this game, and I've met a lot.. those are all young adults to old geezers..
Like 20-60yo people..
And sorry, if you are a 20yo, you're not allowed to have ice cream tantrums.. not even online.. Grow the f**k up.. stop acting like a 5yo..

Examples:
IS player who only plays IS mechs - First obvious bias here. Second, they don't play Clan mechs so have no clue about the challenge those mechs face but because they got spanked around by a Clan mech, they must be OP right? Skill had nothing to do with it because they are all Elite Skilled themselves and there is no way that that filthy Clanner could actually be more skilled than them.
Competitive Player who is ONLY worried about Balance - Yeah right. If your competitive your only worried about winning. Be it a competitive Clanner or a competitive IS player, all they really want is a edge. Balance has nothing to do with it, they just want their mech to be slightly better then the one they are fighting against.
Competitive Player who think the game should ONLY be balance around them since the are the Elite - Same thing. 90% of the players aren't competitive so why the hell should the game be balanced around the 10% who are? Competitive players as I mention only care about winning and only care about their game and how things effect them or give them an edge. I mean THEY ARE COMPETITIVE.
My point is there is so much personal bias that goes into these posts and it is crazy no one ever questions their underlying motivations or if they do, it get buried by the shouting.
Edit and Note: Obviously I have my biases as well.

I play Clams
That's because Clams are superior
There are very few Sphere mechs who compete, and they don't compete because of those individual robot
They compete because of quirks, exclusively because of quirks.
That indicates balance is bad

Sure but as an adult in the real world when you get a product that doesn't fully live up to personal expectations, do you bring this up calmly with the relevant parties, or do you rant and rave in the store you bought it, proclaiming superiority in how you would have done it and inferiority on the part of the creators of the product.
"Um, excuse me I ordered this steak rare and it appears over cooked."
vs
"Stupid noob chef overcooked my ********* steak! Learn to steak you POS losers! Holy crap I could've cooked a better steak between my buttcheeks! **throws plate at kitchen** Cook me another right ********* now!"
Which one fits?
