I was surprised by the roughnecks. Only 1 i don't enjoy.

No issue with mechpacks still. Just grabbed the nightstar.

See this is the thing, when I am spending I buy everything AND the highest tier MC packs. The difference between keeping you happy and me happy is exponential for PGI.

Just got over $400 back in refunds and am not spending $$ until PGI produces a skill tree solution for people with ridiculous number of mechs allowing me to just drop in whatever I want without having to spend a second on the ST trying to figure out how to get it back to where it was before.

PGI will not change it as loong as people keep buying those packs. I have suspicion that quite a lot of players had preordered civil war + escalation pack

I'd like to see the rule of 3 come back in a different form. Instead of gating progress on your mechs, unlocking skill points for different variants should give bonus XP and reduce the C-bill cost of nodes.

^ This.

Can y'all stop asking PGI to make mech packs less valuable please? If they start selling mechs differently, you KNOW the per-mech price is going to go up. And that's something I'd personally not care for.

i was thinking about a stacking bonus on all match earnings for every variant you own. a 3% bonus on all standards, 4% on champion/loyalty and 5% for heros (the 30% hero bonus would still apply and would stack with the global bonus) would be a good place to start. owning a standard pack would be worth a 9% bonus, getting the reinforcements would mean a 15% bonus, and going all in with the hero would make that 20%. this is mostly to make mech packs continue to be worth the purchase. given the removal of premium time from the standard packs and the cbill crunch ive been experiencing, it would come in handy to offset the additional costs.

I don't want to spend $55 for 5 Mechs when I only want the hero version.

We should have the possibility to only buy the hero or the (S) version of the mech (sometimes the (S) is better thant the hero). And maybe the possibility to buy both of them.

I just don't want to throw money to the window because in the end i will only use the (S) or hero variant in game. Cause C-bills !

I will just wait for them to come in C-bills if they do stick to this sale system...

op:

Honestly, tough crap. the company need to make money, Selling mechs is how this game does it. If you just want one mech, then wait for it to come out for C-bills. This is a non-issue.

You aren't able to read AT LEAST the title?
Too much words in the title?

This thread is about adding A-LA CARTE option (u able to read uppercase?)

My wallet is ready to give money to PGI, a company that, as u said, need money, and I'm ready to give money if I can pick the variant I'm interest in a la carte (too much long period to read?)

I like getting 3 mechs. However, it would be nice to pick from the 5 non heroes in groups of 3 initially. :3

^^ this should be an option: choose the 3 from a group.

But I still prefer 1 a-la carte.

I cannot understand why mechpack offer hasn't changed with new skill tree.

Which is the sense to offer 3 basic mech per pack, and then also 2 add on + hero??

It's not needed anymore to level.

SO, I'm interest in buying ONE Novacat, 2 Osiris (one basic, + in add on), and 1 Artic Wolf.

So, with 5-6 $ per mech, I would give 20-25$ from my wallet.

Instead with this system, PGI willl gain ZERO $ from me.

And both of us, me and pgi, will be disappointed....
(in my country there is a proverb saying: "Who wants too much, will have nothing")

I already preordered them all, every single mech.

Untrue.

The pack price can stand as it is now.

I'm asking to add a-la carte option (WHY is it so difficult to read, even the titleeeeeeee??????)
I'm ok to spend a little more per mech a la carte.
Me, not you. U can go on spending the same price per pack.

WHY cannot I buy one mech, picking up my fav variant a la carte?
would this option annoy you? And in which way, as you can go on buy your pack?

It is the counter point to what you want, so it should be included in this thread.

I see no reason to change the mech packs. Also if they did move to an a la carte system the mechs would cost more not less.

Also you can buy individual mechs, you just have to wait till they come out for MC/c-bills.

So $10/mech or discounted to current pricing in a mech pack.

For those that still want/like to get 3-6 mechs per pack, that's great, more power to you...however, you do realize that the XP grind to level all of those will now be a lot more under the new skill tree system than under the old one, right? The new skill tree is really more geared to individual variant purchases to reduce XP grind rather than still going with the 3 or more variants per chassis model. PGI had a better argument for selling 3-plus mech packs under the old mastery system than they do now with the skill trees. If you want just one variant, it makes more sense to wait for them to come out individually for C-bills. You also have the MC option for individual mechs, but if you're looking at Clan or assault mechs especially, the cost to buy them with MC might be more than the mech pack price, so sometimes it's still better to get the mech pack and let the other 2 variants collect dust if you're using real money instead of C-bills.
