Mechwarrior games are above everything else simulators. I didn't rip the small laser and half a ton of armor off my hunchback (in my mind of course I know nothing about playing this game) for nothing! I threw on 6 more AC/20 rounds!

This is definitely worth discussing, not the op post but what peer and others brought up. If they make ammo too pricey people will naturally gravitate to laser weapons since the 3 weapon classes are already fairly balanced before adding the one is free to use and the others aren't. Comparisons to WoT are a little out of place since WoT only has weapons that cost money to restock between matches. I don't see this becoming a problem unless they make ammo for the larger guns and missiles cost too much which I consider unlikely since unlike WoT there won't really be a tier system at work.

This game is for experienced tacticians. If all you want to do is run around flexing your trigger finger this game was not made for you. I have played almost every iteration of this game and one of the key points that set it apart from most every other game is that you have to think about the future mission and plan accordingly.

There is unlimited ammo its called energy weapons but it balanced with the other weapon groups because it causes alot more of heat.

no ammo, no heat, mechs that can heal and revive other mechs, invisible rouge mechs, mechs with shields and of course, mechs that transform into a megazord... yup, we need those
