The reason some are complaining about the pricing model is because lately when PGI wants to change the pricing model all they are really doing is just stripping more and more from the packs with each change while keeping the same price point. If you compare what you could get from the old 4 packs compared to the new ones they offer now your see how much more we have to pay for less content.

Once you get the first 91 nodes the xp becomes easy. Changing the nodes around isn't painful because if you like the mech then you'll have enough xp for experimenting. It's also a lot cheaper to swap nodes around then buy a brand new mech and put on all of the changes you want like engine upgrades, heat sink upgrades, and new weapons.

The only time xp is an issue is when you are trying to hit the first 91 nodes and you realize your initial build sucks. Changing your nodes around means you are increasing how long it takes to get those first 91.

It still costs alot of C-bills. 237 nodes is 10,665,000 C-bills and despite not having to buy 3 of each mech, the other costs haven't went down. I have about 85 million C-bills saved up and I don't think it is going to be enough to retrofit all my IS and clan mechs when the new tech comes out. I also would kind of like to pick up a Supernova or two and also maybe an Assassin when they become available for C-bills. Point is, C-bills go very quickly while they don't come in quickly at all. Sure I can earn maybe a million or two a night but a single Supernova is going to cost like 15 million C-bills. That is 1-2 weeks of play for me to be able to afford one.

I have to assume that given the Wave 1 badge... you're suffering long term memory failure ? Before the Marauder, the older packs didn't get ANY...NONE...ZILCH....ZERO premium time at the lowest pack price levels (ok yes the Urbie got it for $20 but really that's just putting frosting on a bad mech anyway).

Wave 1.... $160 via alacarte to get to 30 days of banked time or just outright the $90 for the thor level pack.

Wave 2... $90 for the Loki collection to get 30 days of banked time, and nothing via alacarte.

Wave 3....$60 for the shadow cat level to get 7 days

Res 1/2 and Origins.... $40 pack levels got you 7 days.

No, but maybe you are because I am not making an asinine apples to oranges comparison. I am talking about apples to apples comparison of the single mech pack standard 20/collector 40 dollar packs that I think started with the Urbanmech.
https://mwomercs.com/urbanmech

Previous pack:
Standard - 30 days banked time.
Collectors - 60 days banked time

New packs:
Standard - Nothing
Collectors - 30 days auto activate.

And you're telling me that isn't less value because the packs previous to the packs that I am comparing required you to buy higher level packs for premium time.

WTF ever man. That isn't what I was talking about and its irrelevant to the discussion. The new packs have less included, and have less value. There is no way to spin that differently, its an irrefutable fact.
