I stopped using C-ERLLs though cause of the duration, and realistically 814m is just too far to my usual engagement range. So i switched to C-LPLs, that mighty range is still a god damn boon.
Only place that C-ERLL thrive is in FW, on certain maps (Polar, Alpine, Boreal)

skilled or unskilled? - too slow? lacking in mobility?
Lacking in speed to keep up with the pugs determined to charge and get killed without you and not really agile enough in the mobility department. And it's one of those mechs where you're not benefiting much from the mobility tree anyway since the values are pretty low to begin with
Spend your sp on useful things

They are slow, just like the HGN-IIC but not quite as bad as the Mauler and Whale.

Why a TC5 and not more DHS out of curiosity, you should be able to get 30 DHS if you run an 325 XL with no ES or FF?

FTFY
I mean have you given it a chance, or just written it off based on educated guesses like so many others did.
I came to my conclusion after running both of them a lot. I just like the 8 energy arm mounts so you can twist with it, do drive by shootings and blow cheetahs legs out while they fly through the sky. MAD-IIC just pokes, speed is nice but neither of them are going to dodge anything thrown at them.

Yes, I have played with it quite a bit to know it is weaker. That said I still like it and find it a really solid chassis.

If you are focusing on lights with it, you are playing an assault wrong. You should be trying to kill other heavy mechs and moving forward, not sitting back and getting poked by lights.

Hmm, I haven't thought of that, the TC5 was just my way of filler for tonnage, since I was sitting 87/90 tons and no slots left. I forgot to strip the Jumpjets

I focus on the assaults and heavies, if I have a choice. You should be able to wreck any medium or light that's dumb enough to let you fire on it twice before it can get to you.

I don't bother with JJs, SPLs, or backup ERML on the 4 cLPL build. 2 SPL isn't going to make a big difference if mechs close in and those take away from the DHS you are running. With 30 DHS, you can get away with alphaing all 4 cLPL a couple of times before overheating which is incredibly nice as an option when you have free heat or already beat up and slow poking things.

Once again, a mech is out for cbills, and NOBODY knows about it.. No official announcement...
I guess the guy responsible for these things is on vacation or something?
Way to keep us informed..

Maybe you got the job? I'm pretty sure it was your comment in another thread that prompted me

@ 2 ton per worthless JJ sounds like a good choice

SNV-1 is already better than the MAD-IIC IMO. Its just that no one seems to run them so its flying under PGIs nerfdar.
I think I would struggle with the speed different to rate it higher, but I haven't tried it yet. And who knows how the nerf board will treat the mad iic

This way I don't have to butcher a Warhawk, Scorch or Mad Cat II.
