Seems like others felt it too. How about dropping the 4K to 3 or so? I have to ask!
Added - came of off working 18 hours. Was tired and thought all had to be done last night. Good thing they were.

Don't we have multilple days for the 4k match score?
Edit:
According to the event, only the FP and GP elements were 24 hours...

Our servers appear healthy so far; it looks like something weird is going down with some key backbone services in the US, and it's cascading into issues for various ISPs. This could also be impacting you if you're connecting to the North American servers from outside the continent, depending on how your ISP connection is being routed.
As a result of this we've extended the Group Victory and Faction Play Participation Challenges by one day; they now end Thursday at 11:59:59 PM UTC. The event calendar has been updated to reflect this.
Due to the nature of the event I can't guarantee we'll be able to keep shifting stuff around if any regional connection issues persist or crop up again after today, so hopefully things return to normal soon

Yes, the Match Score challenge has a duration of 4 days, so you basically get 4 days to complete the challenge to achieve the 4,000 Match Score.

Thanks for putting the color boxes in the calendar around the challenge. I'm not sure if it would also help ... but what do you think about adding the same color box around the challenge description below the calendar? Could help with identifying what that challenge is (start/stop date/time, what is needed to qualify, ... etc)
Thanks
That's a good idea, we added underlines in the color which matches the boxes per challenge on the calendar. Hope it helps a bit!

If you wish to get ahead of the "internet being less than reliable" curve, as well as several other possible bad things, I would suggest that you folks at PGI also add a day to the following list of challenges...
- June 7th "XP Challenge"
- June 9th "Pew Pew Challenge"
- June 14th "Scouting Participation Challenge"
- June 14th "Zap Challenge"
- June 15th "Faction Play Victory Challenge"
- June 16th "Lance In Formation Challenge"
- June 18th "Bzzzzt Challenge"
- June 25th "Quick Play Victory Challenge"
- June 27th "Heavy Duty Challenge"
- June 27th "Assassination Challenge"
- June 29th "Kapow Challenge"
...which by doing so should then more than compensate for all of the Time Zones. This time of year, the North American internet gets bombarded by simultaneous Hack Attacks and Planetary Heat, which causes connection issues for literally everyone. I figure there's no reason to draw unnecessary anger by giving such a short period of time on challenges. Yes, I do understand you intend for some of the challenges to be really hard, but there is a threshold based on a series of factors for where it becomes an "Only a 'Tier 1' Elite could ever finish This Challenge" kind of situation. So please, consider what I've noted here, and perhaps make some adjustments to avoid things beyond a single Pilot's control from possibly shutting them out of completing too many Challenges?

As much as I like that there is so much to do in this event, i would vote that next time there are concurrent challenges that they all have the same window for completion to avoid this confusion. Perhaps have something like 4-5 challenges that run a whole week so you have time to chip away at them. It goes nicely with the daily challenge where no matter what, you get something.

- June 7th "XP Challenge" - its actually the 8th and 9th and if you do a daily win on 6 mechs its done , thats 3 games per day
- June 9th "Pew Pew Challenge" - 1 to 2 games.
- June 14th "Scouting Participation Challenge" - its 15th not 14th 2 hours tops2 alphas b4 you die = 50 match score x 5 games with no wait time for drop because everyone doing it.
- June 14th "Zap Challenge" 1 to 2 games
- June 15th "Faction Play Victory Challenge" why are all your dates wrong? 16th. Ok ill give you this one, maybe needs a 2nd day for taters.
- June 16th "Lance In Formation Challenge" 17th, 2 games ez
- June 18th "Bzzzzt Challenge" oh your going by 5pm pdt previous day not midnight UTC, well most of event hours is on the 2nd day of your PDT dates. 2 games ez.
- June 25th "Quick Play Victory Challenge" what drugs are you on ? 2 Quickplay match wins where you only need 80 match score,? that = 4 games 50% chance of winning = 1 hour and you want it extending ? now i think your trolling.
- June 27th "Heavy Duty Challenge" 3 - 7 games
- June 27th "Assassination Challenge" 2 games
- June 29th "Kapow Challenge" 3 games
Only 1 do I agree might need longer for less competent players, and some (quick play victory challenge) give the impression your trollin.

No trolling involved. I'm trying to compensate for the Constant of "No way you can account for what will happen with 23 other humans in the same game round" with my thoughts. Not everyone is an "Awesome 'Tier 1' Shot", and PGI's MatchMaker has been constantly picking on many Non-"Tier 1" players, trying to force them to carry 11 other people even when they don't possess that level of skills, frustrating those players who got picked on to the point of anger. Last time I checked, Events should not be where that anger becomes the most concentrated, and so again I'm trying to provide a comprehensive solution that avoids it, and even provides for people and their Real Lives.

Perhaps he has also confused "something for everyone" with "gotta catch 'em all!"
Sure you can go through the motions or try to use tricks as shortcuts to completing the challenges, but most will be attainable by most players just by trying to play well and use some good stuational awareness...
As pointed out already MANY OF THE CHALLENGES ARE THAN 24 HOURS so in many cases players will be able to complete challenges over a couple of days.
Can't play for a week or two? No sweat, there will be other mini events all month. Just do what you can and don't kill yourself if you can't get them all.

NOTHING IS FREE, PAY WITH TIME OR PAY WITH MONEY.
They are not rewarding the dedicated players, the "dedicated players" will play whether there is rewards or not. This is to get people playing more than usual to keep queue times down / make the people that pay to play happier that their queue time between games is shorter. And make people happy that they get rewarded stuff for playing more than usual if they decide to make that commitment.
You dont want to spend more time playing ? then dont , and spend money instead of time to get the items.
The kill UAV one is at the same time as a launch uav's to spot enemies one (Although I usually spot 20 enemies with 5 or less uav's not 30) so it will be a LITTLE easier than usual to find uav's to shoot.
Coz Greed is gud.
You seemed to have missed the point of what I was saying. in my previous post. The issue I was pointing out is if the queues are so long that you have to spend an hour or longer in the in the queue for 2 faction play matches that is time you are sitting around unable to play the game. You can't queue up to run other matches while you are waiting for it to find a match. If those 2 matches get drawn out to run the full time aloted you have spent at least half the 2 hours just waiting on those 2 matches If the average person has 2 to 3 hours to play are they going to want to have to sit at the computer not playing while waiting?
Average day for the average person is 8 to 10 working, 8 to 10 hours sleeping, 1 to 2 hours travel to and from work, 1 hour to prepare dinner and eat after getting home from work.
In the area I live the average person has to travel 2 hours a day to and from Work, Work 10 hours a day (Minus breaks). That is 12 hours used, Sleep 8 hours so you are now at 20 hours used, 1 hour for cooking and eating dinner leaves 3 hours of "free time" for them to play. They sit at the computer for 30+ minutes waiting for their Faction play match, it gets drawn out for 30 mins due to less aggressive play on both sides. Queue up another 30+ mins waiting. If they only get home from work at 6 pm pacific time (Daily Reset time) they have to accomplish everything in that 3 hours they have to play that night when it is a 1 day only task.
Last night as an example I had to spend 37 minutes waiting for 1 Faction match to even enter the lobby. I guess luckily I can't work due to medical conditions so I have the time to play when I want. But spent some time running the group queues with friends and then they had to log and get to bed instead of doing the Faction matches so that they could be up for work the next morning and work their 12 hour day. (They are East coast I am Mountain zone) By the time they got home and were able to get online the reset was about to happen today so they missed it all together.
During weekdays I feel the tasks should be a 2 day thing to allow those who work for a living to complete the faction play tasks when the queues are so ridiculously long to even get 1 match. If it was always 5 minutes or less to get into a faction match like with quick play I would say 1 day to do the task would be good. But when you spend an hour waiting for the 2 matches you are not playing you are sitting waiting not progressing or earning anything.
Yes I am aware that the Group and Faction tasks were extended by a day as of the time I posted this.

Not had anything like that in the solo queue but my cheeky soul forces me to ask - you know you are the commonality right?

That said group queue has been awful but part of that is there are proper premades out there and people are just piling into large groups and forcing the average weight waaaay down. I kept having to drop to a Commando just to get us under weight and then we'd run into either highly organised units in sets of 7, or pairs in a wall of heavies and assaults. Odd mechanic PGI have there.

But the "UAV destruction challenge" shooting 30 UAVs in 4 days is a bit too much. When 12 men from a team heading for this it will be quite hard to acomplish.
