Had my best incursion match since the mode was released tonight. Both teams decided to go to the other's base and ended up meeting on the edge of Grim Plexus. We were fighting around the columns and raised areas instead of the middle of the map. The silly energy pods in the middle were ignored, the bases were ignored, it was just an all out brawl in an area where you rarely have an all out brawl.

I wish more matches could have fights that happen that sudden with the majority of each side at knife fighting range so quickly.

With random spawns, situations like that would happen more often. Shame fighting always happen on almost the same spot every game.

That's why you should always Nascar left, in Incursion. Most likely to meet base rushing deathball that way.

If both teams go left then they won't have contact. We wen't left because our Alpha and Bravo were on the left, the other team went right and it looked like it was because their C team was on their right.

Our two lances skirmished while our big guys caught up, then we fell back to the big guys and picked the other team off in ones and twos as they pushed into us.

And that's why you grab radar tower asap so nascar teams gets slammed down hard.

As soon as you start shooting at the lead element, the entire blob will seek cover. In the end, you have skirmish where the nascar team is locked in some random place while the defending team will have the run of the entire map.

Unless they push through and you end up with most of the enemy in your base and the rest of your team out of position trying to run the entire map.

Incursion is a poorly designed game mode that encourages not fighting. Which was the point of my first post. The best incursion match I've played was the result of a very intense fight because both teams stumbled into each other early on. I wish more maps and modes were designed to have those kinds of fights.

I wish MWO had some kind of objective based gameplay like matches in "overwatch" or "heroes of the storm", where the objective really matters. But since it's a game without respawn this will likely never happen.

Won't help, PUG's will still camp in middle of every map.

Sitting you down is the other team's objective. Sitting them down is yours. No respawns, because when you get sat down in MW:O, your game is over. If that's not your cup of tea, there are alternatives...

I would say that even if PGI would make game modes with objective give better rewards for completing objectives than for killing other people, PUG's would still go for fight.

If maps were bigger and the time limits longer we would see more of such games. Thats ONE of the reasons that made MW4 so much better than this.
