Per title, poll to see what clients people are using for play MWO these days.

Literally never used the steam option, always preferred the native launcher. :)

Isn't this poll a bit biased since only our fellow ForumWarriors will likely know about it? Steam users stick to the steam forums and reddit generally.

Steam client, easier to have everything in one place. And it patches without prompting.

I use the PGI client now. I am on limited data and Steam blows up patch sizes by 100%.

Where is the option for both for us lunatics with more than one computer?

That seems like a rather strange assumption.Posted Image

It's just... a poll....

The context of the poll is that people who go onto the forums (or wherever I post it) will be the ones answering. You use that knowledge to apply context.

Nothing bias about it unless I take the data and say something like "Most players prefer the steam client"

It might seem strange, yeah, but this game isn't very well advertised. Anyone who's chanced upon it from Steam could be content with it... just being another Steam game. I didn't say it was terribly smart. Posted Image

Actually, no. I think Steam users would exclusively use Steam.

OR WOULD THEY? Posted Image

I used to have the PGI client, but now I use steam. It was just easier.

I originally switched to steam when the game launched, but had too many patching issues and switched back.

Started on client, switched over to Steam after I realized how much more sense it made. Why anyone would openly choose to use that client as opposed to the steam one, which makes patching easier, is beyond me. Oh wait this is MWO crowd we are talking about. We are the sharpest round bricks.

Why is that poll on strawpoll when threads with polls can be created?

I'm on steam btw.

I use Steam client. Never bothered with Steam forum, it's a shithole.

PGI's as of now... may switch to Steam since HBS' Battletech is on there.

Because Strawpoll is easier for people on other sites/forums as well as mobile users.

I didn't use Steam at first but now I do. But if this game ever adds serious faction play I will stop using Steam again. Or even serious Solaris matches.

May I ask why that would prompt you make such a decision?
Help me understand your logic Johnny.
