Yes, we should. Also need individual keys for command wheel function that we can key bind. Aaand we need group chain-fire function.

Just add that MWO specific macro program that a community member has crafted to the mechbay and/or settings.

OP Does have a point tho. It is the most basic function that should be in-game without the need for macro or whatever.
Anyway, smth like Autohotkey (free software) should allow you to make a tag-toggle (or any toggle) macro within a minute. Needless to say modern "gaming" devices (both mice and keyboards) allow to do the same in a matter of seconds.
On a different note ... I would not recommend using tag toggle in the first place. Press tag when you need to tag and hold it, otherwise is does nothing but give away your position to pretty much every mech on the map.

i tried it. it involved a toggle switch and an arduino pretending to be a usb keyboard. its terrible, and people are always yelling at you for giving up their position.

My TAG toggle is a couple of $2 and $1 coins. There's just enough weight to keep my 6 key depressed when I push it down, and to leave it up when I want it up.
It works awesome up until I get overexcited and mash buttons in a panic, and small change flies off to new exotic locations.

TAG toggle, group chainfire, HTAL, ingame event tracking, and colorblind support are just some of the quality of life additions we need. I really wish PGI would focus on the QoL aspects more often instead of... The Long Tom?
