One-Mech Pilot

I played my EBJ Prime for years before buying another mech and I've discovered that there are only like four or five builds that actually work for me:
Bawler Builds (for those of you with the bawls to brawl in a squishy mech):
1 UAC20, 7 SML or 6 SMPL
1 UAC20, 3 SRM6+A (runs cool, insta kills most lights)
I havent experimented with streaks on my EBJ but I think it'd be a waste when it lacks two missile hard points.
My Favorite All Ranged Build:
2 LRM 15's, 2 PPC's/LL's, Tag, Targeting Comp 1, Active Probe depending on where I put the LRMS.
OR
2 LRM 15's, 2 PPC's/LL's & 2/3 MG', & Tag and depending on where I put the LRMS, minus the probe and comp.
The laser vomit builds and the gauss builds are super effective, but they are not my cup of tea. I've always seen the EBJ as a mobile missile launcher.
Ever since I bought my lacerator stormcrow, however, I have been playing that 95% of the time when I'm not in my EBJ or King Crab.
Speaking of which, I love my King Crab.
It took me a while to find a build that really works for the ponderous 100 tonner without becoming lrm meat and it resulted in four builds that can play on most of the variants:
2 ER-PPC & 2 A/C20's.
Or
2 A/C 20's & 4 SRM6+A's ( while I love this build on paper, its lack of mobility becomes a real problem because other assaults can literally run circles around my KGC before I am able to fire a few salvos)
4 A/C 5's with 3ER-LL's (Why ER's you say? BECAUSE RANGE MOTHA F!@&#A!. RANGE MAKES A MASSIVE DIFFERENCE ON SLOW MECHS)
Or
2 A/C 20's with 3ER-LL's (I tried four, but its too damn toasty)

There's this one guy, usually salty and annoying, that just keeps playing LRM warhawk. Another is a jump-lrm trebuchet, there's this streak-cat, there's this exellent flank-striker commando that hunts potato lurmboats. Warglaives we know of to be a total ninja of an ACH.
I understand that we as players, have a choice. We have our own preferences, like me making the Urbie my virtual waifu. There are those who play to enjoy, others play to win. Some try to pad their stats, others try to experiment. But man sometimes i wish that they're just on another mech, cause sometimes one-trick ponies are kind of cringy, like that jump-snipe meta or the LRMs on lower tier, or the Laser Vomit Battlemaster on FW, or that hell-bringer.
Of course, on the interest of transparency, those guys worries me when on the enemy team. If War_glaviez is on the enemy team, I usually think we already lose.
Maybe it's the frustration that i have to go and -- there i say deal with the master. I could nail War_glaviez with my streak-cat, so whenever I see him on the enemy i usually go after him. Cause lots of times he's already predictable. In fact, i could say that i'm usually scared of War_Glaivez when he's on the other side.

Aside from leveling up other gundams you will usually find me in the cockpit of my Hunchback.

What? You couldn't picture a person just having a normal conversation?

Ender69 with his jump-lrm trebuchet.
lupanwolf with his streat-cat.
MechWarrior8055091 with his notable flank-striking commando.
I don't know the others, but I do know the last one. Had one match that went full potato on Grim and the team spread out all over the map. MechWarrior ran right up to the Assault lance (the only one to stick together) and blew the legs out from an Atlas with nobody to help it, then blew the legs out of a Mauler, and then tried to do the same to my Battlemaster but was only partially successful (bring arm weapons, kids!). All of us fatties were predominantly torso weapons and the rest of the team was spread to the four corners of the world, so it was like bombers without an escort.
That was frustrating. Decent pilot, that one.

I do not understand how he is doing that... is that what a Packet Loss hack looks like? cause the amount of damage that mech is NOT taking is ridiculous... eats full alphas and has like one component change a fraction of a color.

That's because the most important person to talk about is obviously myself. I mean, I know everything about myself, and I hear people talking with me a lot, so that must mean I'm important, right?

Currently I have it set up in a way that can deal light damage at ~900m, moderate damage at ~650, high at ~400, and can choose the most effective weapons to use for myself at ranges below that depending on current heat etc, particularly when at 200m or below, where I can choose between spraying quick but super hot death blasts, or focusing on DPS over a longer brawl period.

Being a single player type of mech it's also a blessing and a curse.
If you know how they play, you got a very good chance of countering them.
