Something Truly Sad And Pathetic.

Simply because we were facing off against a group of Evil and 228er's.
They won in 1:12 seconds has to be a new record.
And a new low for our player base.
I'm not naming the unit that group dc'd, but that was really pathetic guys.
It was'nt ping because they were all good, I always look.
I could rant some more, but youre not worth it.
I had much respect for your unit.
Not anymore.

A good time to report for Griefing -> Aiding the enemy. This is a step beyond non-participation, it is deliberate forfeit.
Also please send a screenshot of the end match screen to support. I know it might not have impact, maybe it will, but it's the only thing we can do to make their baby-behavior know to the devs.
We need the losers to know why they are losers, for without a reflection to see they cannot understand the image they project.
(Edit: although name and shame is not permitted here... I bet you can out them on Reddit)

Not saying all competive units are like that, seems there are a bunch of honrable ones too. It shows just too much of the bad side of the coin also.

We had 3 people disconnect.
So yeah, with that attitude and weak people disconnecting instead of trying, of course the game was already lost.
Annoyed the hell out of me

And by improvements, I don't mean massive sideways and backwards steps like the skill-mess.

I'm not sure you actually understood the post, the players on his team disconnected because they were sure they were going to lose - not because they thought they were better than the other team.

Sad also describes beating your head against a wall for no good reason so...meh.

Yes, it would be nice if we were all paired against people of presumable skill in a magical candy land of perfect hit reg and pings, but failing that fantasy, 'Sit down at the table and play, son."
In a less Choir Preachy rant, this game would greatly benefit from a present-technology UI for talking with players and forming groups with the same, IN game. you wouldn't have dedicated groups to fear if friendly folks could form up without hassle when the time comes.

That has literally nothing to do with this thread
Do salty players deliberately rub salt in their eyes? That would explain why they cannot read.

Did you end up reporting them because what they pulled was full on BS?

I had a match a couple of days ago in Grim Plexus during the Pew Pew challenge where I was running a Hunchback 4P with 7 small lasers and two mediums. I got a kill early in the match, then the enemy team started winning. My PUG split into mostly two groups, one heading off towards a hill to fight a lance while my group fought a lance in a ravine. A Clanner player on our team died and started raining salt about what a terrible team we were, though he never attempted to lead.
The best part is that he began observing me, called me out by name and starts trash talking me as I am playing "Haha, look at this nub. Inner Sphere nub build, stupid small lasers." I stay quiet to concentrate, he's clearly trolling me so I will make a mistake and die. Two seconds later I get a second kill, then a third. I'm the only guy left alive, the last two mechs are incoming, I brawl it out and kill a fourth and almost a fifth with the now badly injured Nova panicking to kill me and committing suicide by overheating.
The scoreboard comes up, I've done just under 700 damage with four kills. It's not impressive by the standards of most epic matches but it's a decent win. Then the loud mouthed douche who was uncomfortably silenced by our match win tries to justify his trash talk by saying "Well...I did almost as much damage with much less effort."
I finally respond over VOIP "Just shut up, the Inner Sphere nub won the game for you." Enjoy your C-Bill bonus d-bag and just because your mech died, don't take it out on your team while they are still trying to win despite your poor decisions. Moral of the story: even if you don't like someone's build, can your ego for a moment, watch, be patient, and try to support your team. I really wish there wasn't a policy against name and shame on the forums because this player was truely a grade A douche.

It does seem our unit tag seem to trigger something to people of giving up instantly. I used to be one man merc unit and joining on other units/frr hub (i still do sometimes) . I was already member of evil but sometimes i drop the tag because there was no group and swapped side to get faster games(before 7 day merc cooldown).
One day i saw a group on FRR hub was some random people (was pretty big 8+ or so) and joined the group (dint had my unit tag because they where clan). we lost some we won the skill gap between players was noticable but whatever din't care. Then we where matched up against 6 or so of one unit(wasnt mine but also forgot who it was). We got rekt on the HPG because we gave them the sattelite while we occupied the lower ground trying to nascar.
somwhere around our second wave i suddenly hear 1 or 2 people saying *see i knew this would happend all those hackers just here to screw the game* or something like that.
Whatever ignored kept playing then, *hate this hacker unit like 420,mj12,evil,....* triggered a facepalm and laughter in me instantly.
Until those 2 people started saying *let suicide, let not give those hacker the enjoyment of killing us let screw them for screwing us* and sure suddenly see 2 names pop op of overheat (no idea who they where was trying to play). They tried to encourage other random people to do the same or backing each other up that doing the right thing. The rest group was either why? or silent. Needlesly to say i simply left the group and just kept doing FW on my own unless i could find another group.
I ques some people have extreem reaction if they get beaten up by certain units to much time, that when they see sombody running around with that tag they already flipping out no matter who or in which numbers they are. It is however a rare case that people take that drastic measures.
